An elderly, wizened man steps onto the overlook. He wears a pale, white robe decorated with numerous colorful patches, each depicting a different object. A pair of gold spectacles with pink crystal lenses rests atop the bridge of his nose, just above a long, white beard that descends past his chest.
"Good day," he says cheerily. “Might I ask why you are trespassing upon my property?"
Heinrich Stolt was a tricky one. He's rarely been depicted in fanart, as his appearance in the temple is baffling (and meant to be so), provoking a lot of questions - where is he from and why is he exploring an incredibly dangerous portion of Barovia, apparently alone?
Curse of Strahd: Reloaded answers these questions and more by leaning into Heinrich's duplicitious nature and origins, as well as his relationship with Strahd and Patrina Velikovna (coming soon), making him both fun and absolutely diabolical. To portray this visually, I gave his costume less of a medieval design and kept it tidy-looking, aligning the patches on his robe of useful items like the sponsors of a F1 racing jacket. I even made an option for his lenses to be more modern-looking, like a contemporary wizard on vacation, should you wish it (I don't blame you if you don't). Regardless, it should be pretty clear to your players that Heinrich isn't a local, which may make them more or less likely to trust such an odd character, depending on their playing style.
Hope you enjoy!
