So its more like going to the dentist and he removed the 'E' from the 1-E-And_a". So the "1-and-a" just sort of spread its wings across the gait to make a smooth 1 and a 2 and a, etc...

2025-04-23 18:57:27 +0000 UTCGrowing up as a drummer, I was taught "one and a, two and a, three and a, four and a. Seems to flow off the tongue a bit better that "trip le it. Plus you have the added benefit of knowing which beat you are on. Just throwing that in in case that help someone.
