Dr. Dimensia Concept Sheet

But enough about that. Now onto the point here. I've been pondering with some of my characters' designs, hoping to make them a little more varied, so to speak. One of the first I thought of was Dr. Dimensia, who, if you recall, is a dimension-traveling scientist and Plasma's old rival.
I wanted to push the cybernetic part of her design a bit, so I added a bit more to it, namely the addition of her robotic right hand/gauntlet, as well as a breastplate inspired by N. Tropy's armor (Crash Bandicoot). Additionally, to make her stand out a bit from the other characters (especially the other girls) on the roster, I decided I wanted to have her use some kind of weapon. To that end, I gave her a sort of hi-tech staff with all kinds of abilities, including shooting lasers of all kinds and opening rifts and portals to move about. For stronger strikes, her staff can turn into a hammer.
This also helps to both balance Dimensia out a bit more and to give her a less contrived weakness to balance out her powers. Initially, she was able to do all of those dimension-warping shenanigans with her own hands thanks to her cybernetic eye, but with this, most of her power now comes from her staff. She still has some warping tech in her gauntlet/right hand (still not sure what exactly that could be), however.
