Just noticed the remark about finally finishing watching that show. Regrettably, I have Breaking Bad news for you. You’re gonna need a lawyer now. Better Call Saul. (The bad news is that there’s a spinoff (or is it a sequel? Either way, I’ve heard really good things… some folks think it’s a better show than Breaking Bad was,) and now you have to watch THAT if you haven’t already, LOL… I know, I know, just when you thought you were done with the story, they go and make another and pull you right back in! Ggrrr!)

2024-12-07 16:27:36 +0000 UTCBecause somewhere out there, there’s ALWAYS some person who says, “OH, I’m sure EVERYONE has read/heard/watched/played this through to the end by NOW, so I’m probably NOT spoiling anything by mentioning that…” I remember in high school, I was reading this book and this guy was all, “when Candide returns with the llamas and the sacks, he and Pangloss…” and I was like, “DUDE! Some of us haven’t finished the book yet! Would you mind NOT discussing this until everyone’s had a chance to catch up?!?” My freshman composition and literature teacher was NOT amused; he just folded his arms across his chest and glared at me, but most of the rest of the class found it pretty funny… (You see, we were all SUPPOSED to have completed our assigned reading of Voltaire’s “Candide” before that class session in which we were scheduled to begin our in-class discussion of the work… I thought about making this joke about “Romeo & Juliet,” but I guess I like the works of old, dead Frenchmen better than the works of old, dead Englishmen, LOL)
