You should GOT is definitely super noteworthy! I remember you mentioning the similarities between the Mongols and the Dothraki but getting to see them actually pillage at the end of the last season definitely helped it click! I'm really loving the connections between the story and the real world. I'd love to read your essay if it doesn't have any spoilers!
2023-10-20 07:52:10 +0000 UTCman i gotta get a notepad for when i watch these, the HBO app is so glitchy when i’m casting to my chromecast that i can’t lock my phone or leave the app without it messing up by restarting the episode omg. anyways i love that you’re so into the lore, it definitely makes you catch onto things faster like bran’s abilities. and also the ironborn are 100% inspired by viking culture. you’ll find lots of other similar stuff. like for example i think i’ve said this before but the dothraki and the mongols have a lot of similarities. i wrote an essay on like those types of similarities, historical event similarities, and geographical similarities and even though it was long i have about 3-5 paragraphs about the dothraki/mongols!
