This makes me hope that by the end of the show we find out that there's a way to combine the shattered gems, and yeah I'd feel much more comfortable with the decision if the group decided it together.
2023-10-19 01:03:16 +0000 UTCI think Steven's attitude toward shattering makes sense in the wake of the cluster. Shattering doesn't really make a gem "gone forever," it just reduces a whole person into a bunch of fragmented consciousnesses that only know they are incomplete and desperate to be whole again. He saw how lonely and tortured they were from their own perspective, I can't blame him for refusing to add another batch of shards to the universe. But for real I sure wish they'd let Pearl and Garnet unbubble her after the confrontation and have like a whole ass conversation instead of just giving up.
