(look up "Desktop resolution" or simply which your max resolution is in games)

That works only for text that the web browser is rendering, any other text like start menu and start bar (or how it's named), dialogs and buttons, popup menu etc. does not have the option to get bigger without changing the resolution. Unfortunately even games are not always programmed well q-:

2021-07-22 10:32:47 +0000 UTCI don't know how it works on tablet, but on desktop your parents could press CTRL+mousewheel to zoom in or out in order to change the font size^^ so noone needs to change the overall resolution :D in games, if they are programmed well, a higher resolution also means bigger font, so also shouldn't cause an issue to use the higher resolution.

2021-07-19 13:08:16 +0000 UTCSince I don't know why you ask a few notes: Don't forget difference between desktop/tablet, in case you plan anything for tablet or mobile. BTW for my parents I usually choose to reduce the 1920x1080 to something smaller so it's easier for them to read. One day we all might have that issue, not many people think about it yet...
