Looking at 2022

Ah, a new year! I hope everyone had a wonderful end of the year and got some much needed rest. Or if not, may you find it soon. :)

I have big plans for this year and I wanted to share them with you!

January: I have 3 projects I'll be working on this month but they should be finished quickly. One of which is for Unlimited Realms (they did the KS with Ginny Di) and I hope to be able to hype up their February KS with it!  The other 2 are under NDA with long time release dates so there's not much else I'll be able to share there. However, we'll be gearing up for some fun things in February!

February: My birthday is February 1st, and as usual, I'll be hosting some giveaways & sending out gifts in random orders.  Most of this will be over Discord, so if you aren't on there, you might want to join up before then!

March-May: During the months of March, April, & May I'll be creating & posting PS brushes to use in cartography, digital papers, etc. My plan is to get you everything you need to draw a map in Photoshop (and I'm working on how to include other programs as well, but this is all brand new to me so please be patient). During this time, I'll also be recording videos on how to use each brush.

June-August: For June, July, & August I'll be starting on creating exterior battle map assets and creating videos on how to use them on your maps and/or in VTT.

September-November: For September, October, & November my cartography class will be getting a HUGE overhaul & expansion.  I plan on including worldbuilding, paper aging, digital paper making, PS brush tutorials, how to make your own fonts, battle map making, etc.  My goal is to give you a "beginning to end" series of lessons to help you make the maps you want. I'll be re-writing articles, re-recording videos, & making new ones. 

December: As usual, December is my month to do a ton of work on my website, get taxes ready, spend time with my wife & cats, relax, recharge, and enjoy the holidays. 

--------------Why am I taking 3 months for each phase of my project?------------

When I first made my cartography class back in 2017, it took me about 3 months to get everything ready, setup, recorded, written, & posted. Though much of it will be a re-write, re-record, it's still time consuming and I'm adding new videos/articles to the mix. Plus I'll be making PS brushes by hand and I am new to this. (Yes, I only use about 3 brushes to draw the maps the way I do now but obviously that doesn't exactly help a large portion of you.)

Plus, I want to add a lot of nuance to the articles & videos that I wasn't able to the first time around. 

And then there's the editing, uploading, posting part of everything, all while trying to actually produce work, website maintenance, product creation, social networking, and oh, you know...having time to game, eat, sleep, and spend time with my wife & cats (not just in December).

So I'm leaving some wiggle room in those months for things to go wrong, as they inevitably do, as well as taking on a project or two to help pay the bills.

This is a huge time-consuming endeavor that makes Patreon is so important and why I greatly appreciate all the support you all provide! I won't be able to afford doing this any other way, so...
