(Not) Gone With the Wind
Added 2024-10-06 17:07:25 +0000 UTCEight days after Helene, electricity (and water) at Darq Side HQ were finally restored last night! The first three days or so we had to drive into a nearby town to get cell service, and I was able to get status updates to Rosyposy on a friend's mini-laptop. I have to say it's nice to once again be able to type a whole sentence without backspacing over finger-fumbles every few letters.
Our area is a surreal mess, but we were blessed to escape major flooding and structural damage. We're starting to get things back to sanity here (washer and dryer have been running nonstop all morning!) as well as pitching in to help those nearby who were not so lucky. (We call each other "neighbors," but out here in the sticks that can mean a healthy fraction of a mile.)
I am absolutely blown away and gratified by all the messages of prayer and good wishes from our members. I can't imagine a more outstanding and thoughtful community to be a part of. Thank you.
October monthly and new annual memberships should all be accurately activated now, but if anything is not working for you just message me here or in Discord. I sincerely appreciate your understanding.
