Melee Ranges in Statter

One of our favorite improvements to the EverQuest II experience is ACT Statter by Reapp. [1] [2] [3] Even if you're not a hardcore raider it's an amazing ACT add-on that brings a ton of insight and clarity to your DPS and HPS over time by comparing them against changes in your character stats.

One of the most heavily measured aspects of combat is DPS, and ACT does a great job of graphing your overall DPS relative to your allies for each encounter. But what about the effect of buffs, debuffs and weapon changes on your potential melee damage range over the duration of an encounter?

Darq Side members Sephy and Reapp have been working on another excellent improvement that I want to show you. All three melee stat ranges have been added to the monitor -- Primary, Secondary and Ranged damage.

These stats are special in that they represent a moving high/low range of potential values rather than a single value like Fervor or Crit Bonus. Now you can compare your DPS performance against the effect of buffs, debuffs and weapon changes on your melee damage potential during any encounter, moment-by-moment.

You'll want to get the latest version of ACT Statter on the Plugins tab in the ACT app, or [here] in the Plugin Downloads section. As of this post it's version 1.0.14. Outstanding! Thank you Reapp and Sephy.
