LFG/LFM
Added 2024-07-28 19:16:50 +0000 UTCOn Live and Origins servers, the LFG chat channel is probably the most common way to find a group, or to locate other players who are available to join your group. On the new Origins server the LFG channel is pretty much a constant scroll of players LFG or LFM at any hour of the day.
The LFG window doesn't seem to get much use on standard servers lately, but I decided to check it out on Anashti Sul, and sure enough I found quite a few players and groups on the LFM and LFG tabs.
Depending on which mode you choose (click the button at the bottom of either tab to populate the list) you can tailor your search as narrowly or broadly as needed. You can choose specific roles you are looking for, and which roles you are able to fill.
Plus I discovered something I'd never noticed before: if you mouse over a group leader's name in the LFG tab it lists all current members of that group, their levels and classes! Click the screenshot above to see an example. Try using the LFG window as a supplement to the LFG chat channel and I'll bet you get the results you want at least 38.9% faster!
