Here's a handy new trick. We're all familiar with the "quantity" popup. It's that tiny window with tiny controls for specifying an exact amount or quantity of something. It appears in all sorts of places -- moving coin, splitting stacks of items, grabbing a few crafting supplies out of the depots, buying harvestables from a seller's stockpile on the broker. The list is long.
No matter the context, it's always an awkward transaction. This is one of those places where I wish for voice control: "Hey Lucana, give me five Crocodile Meats out of that stack!"
We're not quite there yet, but...
Recently Darq Side member Kammelle was looking for a way to make these interactions go a bit more smoothly, especially when handing out snacks, painlinks and injectors at raids. But also any of those other times when you need to snag a few items out of a larger stack.
This is what we came up with. Getting 2, 3, 5, 10, 20 or 50 items from a larger stack is instant. Click the amount you want and it'll go into your bags immediately. For example, picking up a partial stack from a depot or the broker:
![]()
Or the items will go right onto your cursor in the case where you split a stack from your own inventory:
![]()
It's one of those little enhancements that you'll wonder how you lived without all this time. Thanks to Kammelle for the ideas, testing and feedback!
