Recently we previewed some visible improvements [1] [2 3] for the upcoming version of DarqUI and the utility that I think you'll find to be fun and useful. And I'm looking forward to showing you two more small but nifty player-facing utility enhancements in development as we get closer to the next expansion.
Sometimes improvements happen that are not so visible, but that improve UI efficiency or security internally. During a recent discussion with Feldon (EQ2Wire, EQ2U) he showed me a more efficient way to make certain census calls that place a lighter burden on the server and make replies back to the utility more efficient in at least four places.
We're fortunate to have Feldon as a resource since he worked directly with the EQ2 team in building the data structures that would become the census server powering EQ2U, DragonsArmory and a bunch of DarqUI features.
Incidentally, we have a Darq Side Discord channel dedicated to discussions around the EQ2U site that's hosted by Feldon himself. He's around quite a bit, so if you have any comments, suggestions (or compliments!) about his indispensable website and other contributions to our game, that's a great place to find him.
