Bonus Large/X-Large Window

As of today we have welcomed our first 30 valued Patrons to the Darq Side, and I want to say thank you for being part of the project.  I hope you're finding it to be worthwhile.  As promised, Large and X-Large versions of the Start Menu have been added to the server.  I think we have some 4K players here who can try out the XL size so please do, and share your opinions.  For the rest of us mortals with 2K game machines, give the L version a try.  I'm using several L size components these days and finding them to be much more comfortable than the N (normal) size.

I've been working on L and XL sizes for another DarqUI window that we all use every day, so here's a new goalpost:  At 40 members, L and XL options for the [REDACTED] window will be added to the Patron server.  Be sure to mention the Darq Side to your fellow gamers and guildmates!  There's a lot going on here to improve every player's game time, for just a few silvers per day.  Cheers!

Thank you for the feedback! I'm also anxious to get moving on the rest of the UI. I'm sure there's a few more hi-res gamers who will find their way here!

The new XL Start Menu looks great. I've turned off a number of items on the Start Menu, so it still isn't that big, but the text is easy to read! It's great. I play on a 3440x1440 monitor. Not quite 4k, but I love being able to put most of the windows to the sides and still have a large clear view of Norrath. The XL Broker window is awesome. I really looking forward to more L and XL DarqUI features. Now if I could only get the quest text a little bigger..... ;)

Will do, thanks for the reply and I’d be happy to try them out if you get around to doing them.

Redacted just for fun, surprise factor. The textures used are highly compressed DirectDraw surfaces (DDS) very similar to the ones used in rendering the 3D game world. The UI is all 2D and the compression level is higher for most of the backplates, frames, buttons, etc. So a lot of them start out a little bit muddy, plus not every edge was laid out on a 4-pixel boundary which is important for crispness when rendering and scaling DDS. But in fairness, I doubt the UI was ever intended to scale up to double and quadruple size, like we are doing, when it was designed. A remedy to this is reducing compression, but the downside is dramatically larger texture files and memory cost. Try the "Storm" color theme which has more pure color surfaces and fewer lossy edges. If I can carve out some time I might try making an experimental skin with all uncompressed textures that would theoretically scale perfectly with no fuzziness, and get you to try that out.

Why redacted? Also I game in 4K so I’m happy to try out the XL windows some more. One thing that turned me away from it was they seemed a little fuzzy, not quite crisp. Like What you typically see when you scale up a jpg/png vs using an SVG
