We are so fortunate to be able to watch the Yokozuna in such great form, even at this stage of his career. I think we should enjoy every bout while we can!

Jonny

Pretty much what u said Jason. Teru is in his head. Love from the South! 🐊

BULLgator4

I'm not so sure. I think someone will rise to the challenge and by the end of 2025 we'll have a new Yokozuna

Jason Harris

i agree - it has been disappointing. My guess is some injury is at the root cause of his inability to fight at the level that got him to ozeki in the first place. I do wonder if he will ever be an ozeki again

Jason Harris

yes, it will be interesting to see who rises to the top in the next few years to assume the mantle of Yokozuna and how they fare at the rank

Jason Harris

Jason, you are the reason I watch sumo. Can't say it enough: Thanks for doing what you do!

Shawn Chidester

Teru is a new man! Glad to see him back in action.

Brad Day

That armlock is incredible!

Barb

It’s going to be a long time before we see another Yokozuna

BobMoney

Thanks for these!

Dave

Yeah, I don't know if I expected better from Kirishima in this match, but I certainly expected more from him in this basho. I really thought, when he made ozeki, that he was poised to go on a run, but he really seems to have sputtered.

Dom Guido

Yeah…Kirishima is never beating Terunofuji.

SP Bizzy

Thank you Jason.

Shawn

The way Terunofuji thew Kirishima to the clay was almost as forceful as his pushout the last time those two fought. There is almost an element of, not enough, come back stronger, again and again and again!

Exilhamburger

These are always the highlight of my morning, thank you Jason, much love

IvanTheOkay

I'm hoping Onosato gets to that level with more experience. We will see.

A mump

Onosato has a chance of beating Teru if he shows up strong and not tentative like he was today

Jarret Smith

I'm starting to think that Sumo is in trouble, I know Terunofuji is a dominant Yokozuna, but I'm not seeing any consistent Sumo from anyone else to say, oh I see someone who can win 10 basho when they become one
