I suppose, I think the part that really called it out to me was the absolute chaos caused by a simple landing of enemy troops on their shores, (I think it was in the Calladrin AU) if I am remembering right. It was very similar in my eyes to the chaos caused by any enemy crossing the Rubicon.

2019-08-07 19:37:59 +0000 UTCyou could say that about any empire really, an empire requires high levels of organisation and administration (Rome being an empire which innovated bureaucracy quite a bit) therefore any empire will resemble Rome in one way or another.
