Sahara 2019 Redesign [WIP]

Figured I'd share a little personal art I worked on tonight! 

Some of you may not know, but I have an alternate fursona that's an Eastern Coyote! Her name is Sahara, and her personality is basically the exact opposite of mine/Nicole's xD I like to say she resembles...all my not so great traits that decide to pop up now and then. Very short tempered, not patient in the slightest, drinks A LOT, sharp tongue..yeah you get it. She's me on a bad day lmao!

So yeah! That's her! I've had her for a couple years now, but unfortunately I just don't draw her cause I've never been fully satisfied with her design. Nicole is easy cause I'm SO attached to her design despite the fact that it COULD be better, its more or less the sentimental value that has me attached. I created her when I first started identifying as a furry. Her design just can't be touched since its been SO long having it!

Sahara is a different story. I'm more critical due to the fact that she hasn't been around long enough to get that same attachment.

SO LONG STORY SHORT, I decided enough was enough, it's time to flesh out her design so I can start drawing her more. I quickly sketched out a couple poses, but this one stood out to me the most. It flaunts her personality (: Before inking, I wanted to lay down the colours. Used essentially the same colour palette I had for her originally, just changed the markings/patterning around.

I can happily say I'm already super satisfied with it. She looks more like an Eastern coyote , which was another issue I kept running into. I may tweak it more here and there but I think I have it figured out now. I'm trying to think of her portrayed as a fursuit too because I plan on getting her custom made into a suit as well! My partner and I both have coyote alt.sonas (his is a Western coyote, though) and we want to commission the same maker so the suits are matching (: 

Anywho, I plan on cleaning this up into a flat colour so I, as well as other people I commission, have a reference for her updated look x3
