Vela Reference Sheet [WIP]

A work in progress of a reference sheet commission for summerhearts of their character, Vela!

I was really pumped to get started on this commission. I met summerhearts at this years past Furnal Equinox and they were really wanting/hoping for a slot on my April queue so they could commission their first official reference sheet of their fursona!

I couldn't pass that up when I saw their form arrive in my inbox the day of the opening x3 Getting new people into the fandom is always a pleasure to be apart of! (Not to mention this character is different from the usual for me, which is always a nice change!)

The client wanted a front and back view, along with a half body and a small chibi featuring the characters outfit. Originally they wanted the ref featuring the character fully clothed on all views but we came to an agreement that it'd be best to show off the full character, without clothing, on the front and back views to properly display markings/colours and what not! Instead, we kept the outfit on the other views!

They went with option 'B' for the final half body pose! I think that one shows off her light-lighthearted personality much more :3

And the chibi! The outfit they wanted for this cutie is below!

It's been really nice working with this client so far because they had LOTS of references to provide, even for expressions and poses, so it was really relaxing getting to work on this one without thinking too hard and providing a bunch of WIP sketches!

So here's the layout of the sheet, all set up! I'm just starting to prepare it for inking, and once that's done, I'll get it coloured and send one last WIP before I declare this finished and approved!
