What a year...

Ah, man. What a year it's been. Big events in motion, big worries on the global scale. But overall, I think there's a sense of optimism. Things are resolving themselves. Painfully, and only through much work, hardship, and suffering, but the race will go, as it always does, to the persistent.

There are better times ahead. Come see them, with me! Persist, and endure, because the world is more interesting with us in it.

On the personal front, a general rise in the cost of living, and several family medical issues are causing me to make some hard choices. I think I'm going to have to start transferring the bulk of my work over to Kindle Unlimited. Marketing has never been my strong point, and though I've got a good body of work, and I can honestly say I that I think each and every book I've written is good, I can't ignore the economic realities ahead of my family. Without KU, my own story, and that of my family, probably won't end so well.

What does this mean for Patreon, and you guys?

Not a whole lot, to begin with. I'm going to start removing the old works one by one from here, starting with Small Medium.

Eventually, though, it will come to the point where only the current project is visible on here. And once the current project is done, and ready to be published, off it'll go.

This was not an easy decision. If it were up to me, I'd leave everything up here. But the terms of KU are strict; I must not have it available elsewhere, and this is definitely elsewhere.

That said, I will keep on going and writing for you, as much and as often as I can. I have family obligations that slow me sometimes, and brain chemistry that doesn't always work quite right, but I won't let that stop me.

I will persist.

And I hope to see you all in this new year to come, and many more besides.
