0.5.6 Hotfix
Added 2024-07-20 15:53:45 +0000 UTCOkay, here's the folder with all the downloadable versions of the 0.5.6 Hotfix - I've had to park the improved save game system for now, as there's some issues with the way the older files were named that's making it really hard to order them in a sequence from oldest to newest.
The code I've written is definitely better and will work much more robustly, but I'm planning to introduce it in 0.6 - which is when all the player data is getting an overhaul too, so it makes sense to get it working then, when the update will break old saves anyway, rather than trying to backwards engineer it to handle save games that are gonna become defunct from 0.6 onwards (hope that makes sense!).
Also, the final Heather inventory issue is proving tricky too, so I'll get that done and included in 0.5.7.
But here's the folder with the links to the hoftix and a changelog below (which is basically the same as last post):
Changed Kevin room schedule week 4 (away at night, randomised during day, giving a minimum of 5, max 10 opportunities to practice dancing in your room).
Added ability to practice dancing at the nightclub.
Switched Jennifer "angry" and "very angry" art in drawn art, so she doesn't look quite as crazy sometimes!
Fixed bug where Drawn Art toggle in settings wasn't showing on/off based on previous selections.
Fixed bug where talking to Jennifer in cafeteria might trigger certain quest scenes if on Jennifer route.
Janitor job: increased chance of random loot drop.
Fixed Heather stealing extra femme clothes issue on her visit to your dorm.
Fixed boymode issue, where the Get Dressed (Boymode) button wouldn't always work later in the game, if the player had more items in closet.
Fixed issue where the dancing movies wouldn't play again after completing once through.
Cut the lines of dialogue (SFX) from the prologue
Any confirmation that this is all working as indended (and old saves are still being handled correctly) if anyone tries it out would be GREAT too, as I fucked around with the save code, and while I've tested it as much as I can, I hope there's nothing I've done to break old saves now too.
