0.5.4 Devlog - Party Games ...

Okay, first up, I'm gonna hold my hands up and say sorry again for the lack of updates. Just because I know what I've been doing on the game since the last post doesn't mean anybody else does (!), and I guess a part of me has been holding on in the hope that this post would be the next test build, but that's still a teensy way off I'm afraid. 

I've been doing as much work as I can on the game and I'm nearly done with the Jennifer party scene (and the 'homework' assignment she sets you), but I ended up adding in a little mini game which is part of what's taken me a while to get this all done. 

You see, in Jennifer's route, you also go to Heather's party, and - spoiler alert (kinda) - Heather's gonna discover that somebody stole her phone. Well, that person, if you're playing the Jennifer route is  ... you. 

I actually had a lot of fun making this little mini game - don't worry, it's not as full on and laborious as the dancing game in the previous iteration (!), but it's the kinda fun stuff I want Girl Games to have lots of eventually. Anyway, here's a sneak peek, now that I've got it working (although I still need to actually thread it into the party scene at the right place) ...

Also please not that gifs seem to run a little slow, so in reality, that's a lot quicker (and harder!), and you'll basically get two or three chances during the party, at opportune moments, to swipe Heather's phone! 

Who knows, a little way down the line we might even get to take a peek at what's on it, too! 

So yeah, that's where I'm at: almost done. Jennifer's chapter just needs a little more polish and the mini game triggering inside it, plus a little more 'femme_mode' stuff to add. I did also have an idea for another on-campus job that would be fun, and I was hoping to maybe sneak that in too - the idea was that you'd work part time, cleaning the boy's and girl's washrooms, and there'll be randomised items (i.e. loot) that you can choose to either keep or sell to the skeezy old janitor guy. But that might have to be a little ways down the line, depending on how much work I can get done! 

I have all of Sunday blocked off to work on game stuff, plus the usual morning and evening shifts, and I dearly want the 2nd test build and the polished final version to both be out before the month is through ...
