Episode 181 - Cliff Jumping after a Lovely Big Sails in the Greek Islands!
Added 2024-01-29 13:34:35 +0000 UTCThe Big winds have finally settled down, so we sail away from the huge wildfires, wishing mainland Greece all the luck in the world to get a handle on all the craziness which is happening across this beautiful country and we sail onto some very cute and isolated anchorages! We get some dodge salty water in our tanks, so we're on the hunt for fresh water which we can actually drink and explore remote and ancient ruins on little islands, which are great for spears fishing, snorkelling and of course we find a perfect spot for cliff jumping and practicing our back dives!

What a great gift you are giving to your kids. Do they understand the importance of it all? I mean, what you are visiting in its original context to world history? I was a history major in college and your videos are blowing my mind! Can't wait for you to visit Troy and Thermopylae.

It was preceded by a systematic surface survey during the years 1990-1995. The site is identified with the ancient city of "Kythnos" on the island of the same name in the Cyclades, which was inhabited from the 12th century. e.g. up to the 6th -7th century A.D.
