Version 0.5.3 - Test Build!

Okay, here it is ... finally! I had to push myself to get this finished as I had a super busy week at work and I'm away all this weekend, so I knew that this was my last chance to share something with you guys before the month is out. It's still so scrappy and unpolished and ragged at the edges, and when I think about how much more I still have to do - not just on this update but on the whole damn game - I'm not gonna lie, it feels a little overwhelming. 

I'm trying my hardest to keep on top of it, and keep things as clean and scaleable as I can, but even so, there's some spaghetti code creeping in at times, especially as I get closer to end-of-month deadlines and prioritise getting something finished and out vs making it the most efficient thing it can be. 

At the same time, I know I shouldn't beat myself up too much. So long as I just keep pushing forward, adding a little more each time, then in a few months from now I'll hit that point I've been dreaming of: getting all the main storylines past the first finish line (i.e. the Girl Games itself). After that, I'm looking forward to going back, optimising and cleaning up some code and systems, before pushing on with all the fun extra additional stuff I have planned. 

But getting back to the present, my plan is to polish this up, iron out a few kinks and bugs, and hopefully get this version in a much more finished state by the end of next week. If you run into any really strange behaviour or game-breaking bugs or whatever before then, please please please let me know, either as a comment or a DM!
