An Unexpected Consequence of COVID

The global pandemic led to a drop in outdoor air pollution, but it also led to an increase in indoor air pollution - and our exposure to it.

Thank you so much for the support! 😷🧼🍳

P.S. Here I am appreciating one of the air purifiers I have running in my house. This one has a HEPA filter, carbon filter, and UV-C light. If you get an air purifier with a UV light, make sure it's UV-C, because others actually (ironically) produce ozone, which is a pollutant. And yes, doing research for this video did in fact make me run this thing a lot more often 😅

Ooooh Dyson fans. Those are definitely on my wishlist, but a bit pricey still for me. The air purifiers I bought last summer when fire season started here in Montana have basically been running constantly since then (obviously changed the HEPA filters out) and it really does make a difference. It's certainly a worthwhile investment when spending so much time at home. Glad you enjoyed the video! -Julián

Early in the pandemic (month 1), we noticed air quality issues and we worried about annual California wildfires + temperature control in a small place. We managed to get a pair of the Dyson fans with HEPA filters. They proved to be an invaluable purchase. The air quality change was noticeable. Thanks for the video and data. It's good to know we're not the only fans. We're in the process of moving to a new place, but we're bringing the purifiers with us and likely getting more to meet the space needs. Between remote work and remote schooling, we'll still be spending lots of time at home.
