Weekly Update 8/8/24 - They're Periwinkle

I'm almost done with this. This whole thing was an experiment in doing things quickly, and it was supposed to be done today... but I'm trying to figure out what methodology I prefer for things. I'm still not happy with some stuff in this so far. Some of it isn't even finished. Once I have a better handle on how I want to approach this style it will be much quicker than painting.

The color of the kryptonite is a place holder. The best suggestion I got for the color was Perriwinkle as it makes Kryptonians more promiscuous. Maybe it makes humans more busty?

This still needs some work to feel right. It's almost there.

While this method is 100% faster than painting, it could be faster. I feel like the rendering on Page 1 is 95% done. Page 2 is 70% done. Page 3 is 50% done, and Page 4 is 50% done. I'm not sure what page 2 needs to look good. I think the drawing is fine, so it must have something to do with the rendering, but I'm not sure what. The shape of the shadows? Their intensity? Maybe a color adjustment. Perhaps I need to take away a shadow from one area and add a shadow to another. It's currently confounding as I'm happy with that stuff on all of the other pages so far. Yes, 3 and 4 need highlights and deep shadows, but they aren't as difficult to render as page 2.

Ah well, I'll figure it out, and then I'll have learned something I can take into other renders. My goal is to get quick enough with this style that I can knock 4 colored pages out in like a week and a half.
