Daily Update 7/24/24 - Smush won

So smush won, and I was far enough along that I decided to complete the render. Unfortunately, I still feel like it reads a little weird. I imagine a comment in the future where someone says "I don't understand what's going on." my instinct is to think "oh this person is stupid." but that's arrogant and not conducive to becoming a better artist. Readability is important. The audience needs to understand what is happening, but you can't go overboard describing something lest you create visual clutter. Visual clutter can destroy readability as well. So I did some experiments.

And here's an attempt to make whats happening a little more understandable by putting in an outline of Azula's torso.

I've seen other artists do this effectively, but I apparently cannot. I look at these and just see confusing visual clutter. So I'm sticking with the vanilla option even if it causes some confusion.

AND I finished the blending of the last two pages of this chapter.

I feel like rushed the backgrounds in these a little bit, but I'll get back around to them during the final render.

Speaking of which I'm going back to do final renders of all the pages. I don't know how long this will take. I'm hoping each one will take a day, but no promises.
