So these pages and the next few were kind of tough to write, and even tougher to draw considering the gargantuan distraction in everyone's social feed today.
I knew when I first started drawing Toph Heavy that she would lose her ability to reproduce. That's because I wanted to make it clear that Azula was Lin's father even though Toph sleeps around. How can Azula be Lin's father? It's as though people forget Azula's dick is supernatural.
The thing of it is though, this kind of thing is a touchy subject and this comic should not be taken all that seriously. That's why Loss is such a meme, it tried to do something serious. So I'm leaning into the "parody" aspect of the comic and doing something a little irreverent and tongue in cheek.

Toph Narrating: For a moment I was lost in the possibilities of my future with Sokka.
Then I started to feel a cramp.
It got worse.
Guard: Are you ok?
Toph Narrating: and worse.
Guard: Lady Toph? LADY TOPH!?
Toph: hnngh.. go... go get... a waterbender..

Toph Narrating: I remember waking up at the local water bender's.
Doctor: Oh, thank goodness, you're awake.
Toph: nngh w-what happened?
Doctor: You had an infection. The good news is we cleared up the infection. You're perfectly OK and not infectious.
Toph: Yeah? So, I'm ok?
Doctor: Unfortunately it left permanent internal damage to your reproductive organs.
I'm sorry Lady Beifong, but you won't be able to concieve children.
Toph: Really? Are you sure?
Doctor: Yes. I'm sure.
Toph: This is great!
