Another try at Futa and art crit.

You know, I really love the latest Aeris Futa update EXCEPT... in the future, unless it's, like, critical that futa characters have a vagina(i.e. the comic/picture features them getting fucked), would you be up for doing edits with balls instead of a vagina? It's just that there are so many ways to do futa, and that variant happens to be my favourite.

The only thing I hope for in terms of 'futa' are the full-packaged characters. The dick, vagina and testes. Not saying I'd hate it otherwise, but I'm just sayin' it's what I hope for...cuz the others are just kinda weird to me

I suppose one expectation/consideration could be that these being anthro cat characters for most part (still looking out for Dogris tho) many of the details involving the skin folds and joints etc, that would be seen on a human, would be smoothed out or hidden due to the fur. Since assumingly Aeris has fur covering her opposed to her being pink skinned. Where as exposed areas like nipples and genitals would be slightly higher in detail due to obviously not being covered fully.

Honestly I’m overall really pleased with the results! I dunno if I’m in the minority here, but I tend to enjoy the slightly more detailed/semi-realistic stuff for these works. If I could critique anything, it’s the little nitpicky stuff you’re probably already aware of and working on as an artist. Regardless, I understand this is the first time you’re tossing this stuff out there, so I look forward to seeing how you progress!! ♡

Asking for critique early, while you're refining how you want to approach a project like this can be very daunting, so as others have mentioned, so all support for being that brave and rest assured that any feedback is from the position of being enthusiastic about your work to begin with ^.^ So, with that noted, my personal feelings on this kind of content is that to be as stylistically appealing as it can be, the art style adopted for faces and bodies etc., should be less extremely proportioned than the cartoon style used in the general humour comics. We've seen your drawing style change over the years, always refining but going through style shifts as well; it's been my feeling that the style you use for the comics currently, with exaggerated detail and proportions and deformed (used in the artistic proportion sense, not in a negative way) ratios, works well for the comic, where humour is the basis... but it's less suited to producing erotic material designed to be appealing. It's my feeling that toning back the exaggeration of features and sliding back towards more realistic relative proportions may work better overall for this kind of material. As always, of course, this is just one person's personal opinion, and nothing more weighty than that ^.^

Also, usually in the comic there's a... cartoonier style than here. I don't think it'd be bad to do some lewd stuff with the cartoonier style sometimes, make something a bit simpler and punchier, maybe for the times where you want to mix porn and comedy(or just when you need a low-stress break and the chance to pop something out a bit faster). After all, the two tend to go together pretty well. I don't think the more detailed style is necessarily bad, but I think the character designs would probably need to be slightly adjusted to fit it.

I would agree on the consistent 'level of detail' throughout the characters. If the character's general appearance isn't overly detailed then shouldn't make specific parts glare up by going very detailed with them. Still though I do like somewhat more detailed nipples for example so for my personal tastes it's always bit of a balancing act. Mostly this is something for you to play around with to see what works for you and how the audience likes it. :3

I just gotta say, thank you for doing something like this :) Too many people would just say whatever and leave it how it is. It's awesome that you're down to make your patreons happy like this, especially with how many you have.

So I guess in short things just seems very overdetailed. Lots of hard lines for skin folds, joints, bone structure makes things look extremely grotesque and it also contrasts the characters faces.

You did alot of things really well but there are two things. 1. Gotta work on those dicks. Wasn't sure what it was at first. Maybe a bit thicker and veinyer? 2. On the sd version where Aeris is using her rumble feature it kinda looks like her vag is covered in piss instead of sweet sweet pussy juice. I like where you're going with it all though. After 17 years of waiting(yes Ive been here sincethe beginning) Im happy to see it.

Absolutely agree with Green! Any criticism is because we want to see you become even more amazing than you are! We all love your art, we all love your characters, otherwise we wouldn't have patronized you! In fact, you're the very first person I've ever patronized and I'm excited for everything you have!

Honestly, I'm just worried about posting too much critique early on because I don't want to discourage you. Just remember, even if there's some stuff about your art that could sometimes use a bit of polish, and it feels like you're a bit new to drawing porn? I'm still a huge fan of what you're drawing and I plan to continue backing the Patreon because I want to see where it all goes. It's not a matter of "listen to my critiques or you lose my money," more of "I can see you've got the potential to draw some of the best lewd I've ever seen, here's how I think you can get a step closer to that."
