Naz's amulet has an engraving with triple meaning - the symbol is designed to represent both the sun, lifegiver, light, a divine symbol and recognized by anyone in Atonkhai, as well as the "daytime" half of Anu'Kayan culture, of which crocodiles belong to. It also appears as a lotus flower representing creation (the petals radiate out like the rays of the sun). I don't know if it has much meaning for Naz himself, but it's a very royal icon which would immediately identify him as a High Guard (especially since only the High Guards wear jewelry)
For an extra detail you can look at his spear. It's made of meteoric iron; those treasures fall in the desert and leave behind craters of glass and stones of iron and other elements. It's a rare and valuable resource, harder to work with and more sturdy than copper or bronze, and has a distinct appearance due to the crystalline alloy bands of nickel and iron. Naz's spear (among other royal weapons) is a core of meteoric iron for function and strength plated with gold for decoration
