Old content dump: my first few animations

I remember that magical moment where I discovered that you can just like, make an animation at any time. You just draw a series of pictures and put them in a gif maker or something and you have moving video! I did the classic first time thing of a bouncing ball but I have a fucked head so it got rude. Then I got toon squid and played with the key-framing and stuff, It's not the best but I thought they were promising and it's also very fun. I should really do more... I am making a new one right now, in-fact, but that doesn't mean much as I have a 1/4 finished project from the start of the year still waiting for me. I have ADHD

Thank you! In theory I know most of the basics, I just never rehearsed a lot 😅 The app is great and quite intuitive. I animated a little bit in Photoshop a while ago and it worked alright but PS isn’t made for animating so it did feel a bit awkward sometimes. I really like Toonsquid so far, started a walk cycle of an elephant today which is too much to finish in an hour, I’ll post here if I get to finish it. Looking forward to seeing everything your’e doing! 😊

2024-08-05 12:43:09 +0000 UTCThats great! The ripple moving looks really smooth, something I think has helped me a lot was reading the principles of animation, it helped me make sense of stuff you see in professional animation and I try and use it a lot, you're doing great! 💯

I just downloaded Toonsquid and was fully prepared to be completely overwhelmed by it but so far everything worked the way I thought it might. I need to spend some time on something more complicated and I’d like to try something involving camera tracking like in your game test animation. I’m a little ADHD adjacent as well and I’m not sure how soon i’ll have the time to focus on some small animations, but I hope it will be quite soon! Keep making animated things, I’m enjoying all of these!
