Arrested Development 2x01 'The One Where Michael Leaves' Full Length Reaction

The guy who played the cop who kept hitting Oscar with the baton also played a cop on The Sarah Silverman Program. And on Community. And Parks and Rec. And Reno 911. And MIB II. And Hollywood Palms. And Tenacious D. And Desperate But Not Serious. And Momma Named Me Sheriff. And High School USA. And occasionally on Mr. Show. I hope he never gets typecast. I assume he will be playing cops less often now, since he was arrested for his part in the January 6th riots at the US Capitol (he was pardoned by Trump).

RIP Charlie's mom/instructor on the pelvic floor exercise videotape. As someone with temporal lobe epilepsy, I can relate to Dean not remembering previous episodes lol. It makes rewatches more fun though; sometimes it's like watching things for the first time. Hopefully that's not an offensive comparison... Others may disagree, but I don't think season 3 is the best. I love season 3, but season 2 is my favorite, no doubt about it. Uncle Oscar's extremely unsubtle hints that he's Buster's real father is one of my favorite gags. Some callbacks: I know y'all originally skipped the "on the next Arrested Development" from the pilot and don't know if y'all went back to watch it, but Barry and Michael's interaction in prison mirrors the one George Sr. and Michael had in that "on the next" from 1x1. Like the narrator points out, George Sr. has a "penchant for hiding things in walls"; we saw that when he hid $250,000 in the walls of the banana stand in 1x2. In the hospital waiting room George Sr., pretending to be Oscar, gives Buster a back rub, but Buster says "ow" and stops him; however when Buster and Oscar have their weird back rub interaction in 1x21, Buster seems to enjoy Oscar's back rub (in a super awkward way). There's also a parallel between this episode when George Michael first tells the family he and Michael are going to Phoenix and in 1x2 when George Michael calls himself "Mr. Manager" and Michael corrects him to say "manager." 2x1: - George Michael: We're going to Phoenix - Michael: Don't tell them where. - George Michael: I just thought... - Michael: Doesn't matter why. 1x2: George Michael: Right, it’s up to me now. I’m Mr. Manager. Michael: Manager. We-we just say, uh... George Michael: I know, but you... Michael: Doesn’t matter who.

0:42 I'm not sure if it was intentional or not but Dean saying "It's Arrested... Development" the same way Ron Howard does gave me a good chuckle

Not the real Michael Moore, they asked him but he turned them down. And Dean may want to watch a video of the Blue man group, as that storyline will run past this episode.
