I want you guys to know this and just put it in your pockets for later, because it will pay off in a huge way later. The narrator of the show is Ron Howard (I’m sure you know about his directorial work). Ron played Opie Taylor on “The Andy Griffith Show” in the 60s when he was just a cute little kid…meaning, he played Andy Taylor’s son (Andy Griffith). Andy Griffith is one of the most beloved people in the American cultural zeitgeist (like a sort of Dolly Parton…beloved for multiple decades without a shred of controversy). So, just hold on to that…because it pays off in a HUGE way in one little joke later, that is fucking brilliant and could only even exist in this show. To me, it’s one of the best jokes in TV history.

There's 2 different versions of it, one unfolds non-chronologically. S5 is definitely the weakest season, but still worth watching if you love the show.
