A lot of the budget and scripting went to season 7. Season 6 is definitely the most experimental season they've ever done,though as you (correctly) said in the end of S5/S6E1, a fair bit of S6 is just dedicated to undoing the affacts of s5's finale. (Fitz is back, Coulson is back, etc.) So S6 is limited by both having to undo S5's ending and also set up the stage for the final story arc in 7.

The writers did Yo-Yo so dirty here, she's been shown to be far more capable than whatever tf she was doing.. why have her there if she was just gunna stare π Jemma isnt responsible for the Hydra alien infecting the astronaut though & Ward, Lincoln and Garner all made their own choices that got themselves killed Attributing deaths to these women just to shit on them more at this point π€£
