Realistic Lighting VS HDRI Lighting: Example
Added 2025-02-27 04:42:01 +0000 UTCI want to showcase an example of my progress with learning how to set up realistic lighting. For the past few weeks I’ve done so much experimentation with various lighting configurations in which I need to manually place lights. It has taken a long time, but my diligent approach is starting to show great results in achieving the more realistic look that I want in my images to make them higher quality.
Check out this comparison, in the first image you’ll see my new realistic lighting setup and in the second image you’ll see my old HDRI lighting setup. Both images have the same character models and textures (hard to believe by looking at the pictures), but the realistic lighting setup makes a huge difference when it comes to the quality of the image. I’m so happy with the results!
