February Theme

Hello dear Patron!

I’ve read all your comments so far on next month’s release. As always, there are a lot of ideas and cool suggestions! And as much as I would want to make everybody happy, sadly it is totally impossible. So let me tell you a bit about my plans:

From all the comments, what I see is that there are 4 themes that seem to gather the most interest. They are:

And of course, there is plenty of other interesting stuff, some very specific, some more “mainstream”.

Vampires and Undeads

So, for now, we are going to go with the Vampire / Undead theme.

Keep reading to find out why. Also, do make sure to read below to know more about the other themes!

I want to create something with an interesting take on this as I know this is a topic that has been treated by many other brands. Because I know there are many cool things we can do here.

This is a theme on which we’ve already had conversations about in previous months and I have already made extensive research on this. My intent is to make the Vampires the main characters and perhaps add a few other types of Undead as adversaries or minions. I already have a few very cool ideas about this...

And, on top of this, I know I can count on you!

You already gave me a few pointers with this idea of using a masquerade theme or a sea pirate theme or Dark Elves vampires... It shows that we can explore a few cool and fresh ideas. I don’t promise I will be able to work all of them in the upcoming release, but as always, please let me know how you want us to approach this: What characters you would like to see, what ideas do you have? We are listening!!!

The other themes

It is true that we talked about having a Part 2 of the Sea Creatures, but it was put out as a question to you and not something we had locked on. And we saw that it was somewhat divisive. So as much as we would have loved to do Part 2, we’ll keep that for sometime later this year, perhaps around spring. We would love to grow that range!

Holy Knights and Paladins is surely something we’ll do in the future but at this stage, I’m not sure what direction I would take with that and so, to make sure that you get your files in time for next month, we cannot work on that theme now.

Same thing goes with the Greek Mythology theme. That is a very interesting one, but it needs research to make it work. I would also want to find ways to make it compatible with other types of settings so that most everybody can be happy with it. But it’s a very interesting topic. I just need to let it simmer in my brain until the right idea comes up.

And finally, I know that there is plenty of other stuff that you suggested that I am not covering here. But I think that in time, we’ll be able to incorporate many of your ideas. Even if you feel a bit disappointed because what you wanted to see has not been selected, be sure that we keep all these suggestions in the back of our mind and that we always try to include as much of them as we can into our work. So please don't be shy and keep them coming, we truly appreciate and greatly enjoy this part of our Heroes Infinite Patreon!!!

So please tell us more!

So it is your turn now!

Let us know what you really want with Vampires and Undeads, what you want to see with that theme, and let’s make it happen!!

Edit: And don't forget! If you like some of the proposals from your fellow commenters, please LIKE (heart) their comment as it helps us get a feel of how popular the idea is.

Comments

I would love to see you do a Set like Warriors of the Ancient World. Romans, Gauls, Celts, a few of their Monsters and Gods.

Glitterwolf

dire bat mount with a vampire rider/ maybe a vampire orc overlord Vampiric dire winter Wolf Vampires Gargoyles Zombies that could be placed in a diorama Vampire spawn like Draculas brides Ghouls

Johnathan Enslin

Undead need skellies and zombies.

John Dorrian

For the undead theme please please please make some awesome ghouls. I have been tirelessly trying to hunt down some that look great, and I know you guys could absolutely pull that off. (mordheim warband here I come hopefully)

Bishop corney

one thing ive NOT seen anyone do in a long long time, super hero's , they dont need to be the ones we are use to but in that style , or and bare with me how about , a bumper pack of just terrain, so some for undead some for under water some for cyberpunk some for the ash wastes , a huge load of terrain

jeffrey jones

I was just cruising the Raging Heroes site and honestly, if you guys get behind and need to phone it on some month, you could give us the .stls from a lot of the stuff you did before starting Heroes Infinite and I wouldn't mind. Maybe give yourself one easy month every year. The blood tribe, sisters of the orphanage, Hellriders, all of them are pretty cool.

eyflfla

I want a not strad wink wink to use im my curse of strad , is there any chance to get a 5 head massive dragon as a 3 loyalty reward?

Isaac Ximenez

Would love to see one bust too!

Nathan Freund

I would like some caster Vamps, most I see are in pose to pounce or are melee orientated, would love a little necromancy and blood magic

Jay Alderson

i love vampires.some nice showy fangs, not too small either would be marvelous

michael bolten

same here. just need to decide which ones to drop

Jason

3 vampire patreons for February -_-

Dellamorte Dellamore Zrl

I would like to see Vampires in the vain of Blodborne, if Bloodborne was vampires instead of werewolves, something English-Gothic. It would be nice to see them paired with some vampires post shapeshift, mist, wolf, swarm of bats and rats, but I wouldn't be heartbroken if you strictly stook to vampires.

Doppelhänder

A cheesecake triple of Dracula's brides Marishka, Verona and Aleera would be cool. Maybe as a big single model as they cavort over a pile of corpses or something.

Daedricbob

I would like to see one or more vampire knights/vampires in baroque armour, because the Blood Dragons/Blood Knights have always been my favourite kind of vampires in Warhammer. :) I would go for plate armour of either the 15th or 16th century because there are varying styles of this kind, according to the place of origin, as well as several highly decorated examples in the armouries of Europe that were adorned with elaborately details.

Sumsibert

pirate undead/vampires with undead sea creatures to combat the kingdom of the depth

Kurt Vanleene

How about non human undead... orc skeletons, dwarf vampire, Lizardmen zombies, that sort of stuff. There are plenty of human undead out there

Richard Anderson

Vampires and Werewolves would be nice. Maybe around the Story of Elisabeth Báthory?

GrafZahl

No problem. I also came late to the party (by about 30 days) and have been rabidly waiting their release. I make sure to mention it as often as I can. Any day now.... any day....

eyflfla

Looks like I came late to the party then :/ I'll pick it up from myminifactory then. TA for the info.

Michal Grzywnowicz

They did one in September and have said elsewhere that it will soon be up for sale on myminifactory with a patreon discount code. Also, it's awesome and I want it.

eyflfla

Pirate vampires would be so unbelievably perfect for the next campaign I'm writing. 🤩

Alison Webb

I'd love to see Angel themed release. I always wanted to have a mini of Avacyn and Akroma (red Angel of Fury version) from MTG.

Michal Grzywnowicz

The sculptures are universally beautiful but all are ready for war, making them unsuitable for many parts of the games I play and run, which often revolve around diplomacy in a royal court more than prowess on the battlefield. I continue to collect and print and paint regardless, but it could be an interesting change in tone to have a few characters ready for conversation rather than slaughter.

Oliver Barker

I hope that you won't follow the Masquerade path becouse modern vampires can't be used in any Fantasy games. If you like the Masquerade clan differencies and themes, use Dark Eras (medieval version of the game). Also WHFB proxy are quite useless becouse Old World is coming back and with It, New miniatures for sure, even Vampire Counts; for this reason i would like to see something unic and particular as your work and ideas are. I know that most of us play at WH (FB or AoS) and want alternative miniatures for it but don't follow the GW path. For example you can make a mono Vampire release using "Dark Eras" with the Punic Wars (Rome vs Carthage) where 3 italic clans that ruled Rome (Ventrue, Toreador and Malkavian) fought the Brujah (and Baali too).

Lind

I've really enjoyed your monstrous type models. Leaning into that would be cool, something like Orcs or classic monsters (mummy, dracula, frankenstein, creature from the black lagoon, etc). Some kind of mechanical or futuristic models would also be great (something with a gun/weapon).

that2guy

I would love to see a vampire hunter coach, all heavyweight, able to withstand a lot of attack from the vamps. Steel banded, studded and spiked with 4 or 6 armoured horses drawing it A heavy bolt thrower as a turret perhaps

Tim Thornhill

I'm a WHFB player, and i'd like to see options for Necharchs (crazy mage vampires) and Strigoi (crazy monster vampires). I feel that there are few female models for both bloodlines, as the cheesecake usually go to Von Carstein and Lahmia. I'd be awesome to have a strong monstrous female Strigoi vampire, and something that you do not find easily.

Álvaro Gutiérrez

As a fan of White Wolfs Vampire the Masquerade (World of Darkness), I'm hoping for something that slots into that area. Figures that could work for modern or ancient. From ravenous to enchanting, thoughtful to bestial. With thralls and victims

James Kite

Oh yes, this is a great idea. The heroes infinite style of miniatures would fit purrfectly.

killakatze

Vampire minions I would like to see: Skeletons that are very animated, perhaps from different races, in various periods of armor (or clothing). Thralls that work for the vampires. Different "beasts of the night" that demonstrate the malevolence/intelligence behind them (larger than normal wolves, bats, etc.)

Corey Miciunas

A halfling vampire that was made to look legitimately imposing and dangerous would be amazing (and kind of funny!) Would probably have to be hovering in a cloud of darkness or bats or something to be made tall enough to look menacing, but hey just wanted to share the idea!

Michael Scanlin

each .stl file in unssuported version is duplicated. It is not really helping with download times and server load...

Patryk Socha

I am definitely interested in Greek Mythology ... or Roman, Egyptian, Aztec, Mayan or Norse.

Joseph Wilkey

Yeah I'm down for greek themed - Maybe do a model of the gods - Especially after playing Hades I'd love to see the greek gods realized in model form.

Narrator Dave

Okay, now I really want to see the were-pug.

Alison Gross

I also support this. As I mentioned before, I'm not really into the "oversized humanoid" models and like the option to have them normal sized.

Alison Gross

I agree, I'm overdosing on wings. Everyone does. And it's not the most fun to paint.

Dellamorte Dellamore Zrl

Can we get the Von Konigsmark Sisters, but after they fell and became vampires? Imagine, the Coven Von Konigsmark? That pug of theirs can be the token werewolf?

Paul Goodwin

I think I'd like to see less wings for a while. Which is weird because I really like winged people. But between the demons and the angels I'm going to be printing a lot of wings. I'd be ok with some bat vampires, but not, like, the entire line.

eyflfla

Looking forward to see new releases. I would like to add something. I love your miniatures, but I see an area of opportunity in this issue. I think the current models work great as single characters or NPCs, but I see very complicated to make an army with them. Maybe an skirmishing band. If you can include some of the troops in positions that can be arranged in rank and file, they would make a great army. Maybe it's just me, But I have a love for wargaming and I think this option would add more value to the sets.

David Núñez

I'm really excited to see vampires next month. I really like winged vampire beasts, strigoi and nosferatus. There could be different styles although it's also hard to find vampire models that are coherent with each other. Personally, I think that vampire dragons are overdone and I'd like to see something way more disturbing like an ancient vampire deformed and mutated over time into an awful beast that barely resembles the creature it used to be a millenia ago. I'm thinking Legacy of Khaine boss style.

Guillaume

When you do the Romans, please don't forget the Gladiators.

Michael Holmes

That's spot on, and just in time - thanks for the link friend :D

Neight

Hello everyone ... here are some thoughts about the vampire's release ... ... I would like to see them in a unique style, for this I mean some kind of steampunk Vampires ... I don't know if you know the graphic novels about Requiem the Vampire Knight by Olivier Ledroit, but I can imagine that this will be some very special style ... ... and I like those old Ones, the Vampires that lived over centuries and millenia, very spooky and dark and very cruel ... ... and perhaps a Vampire dragon as centre piece?

Thomas Hachmeister

I love all mythologies, but would absolutely love some Nordic Mythology!

Saar Oostveen

I like the concept of masked/masquerade vampires, but if you want something unique, plenty of races don't often get the vampire treatment, for example orcs, ogres, gnomes, dwarves. Most vampires tend to be human or elven.

Rhys Dowler

Vampires please. Loved the vampire in the Halloween release and I'm hoping for more of that.

David Cheng

Mythology should be great, Greek, Egyptian, Nordic

Ryouko

Play nice, this patreon always delivered!!

Veronique Kriesch

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_vampiric_creatures_in_folklore There might even be vampiric monsters/creatures besides "humans".

Roachboy

I'd like to you your vision of vampires from different cultures ... we all have an idea what the typical European (French/English) Vampire from the 18th/19th century looks like ... But there are tales of Vampires in ancient Mesopotamia (Lamashtu), Greece, India ... Lilith in the Hebrew / Jewish folklore ... medieval Ireland and Africa. There are Asian vampires, too (in China the jiangshi).

Roachboy

Oh sweet idea, but perhaps (alternative) fairytales could be worthy of a whole month's release!

Kurt Grosjean

If you go for a Romania style Vampire, a Discworld's Igor is a given ! ;)

Luc Gadioux

Little Red Riding Hood as a vampire, and the Big Bad (Were)wolf as a pet/antagonist. (Or, for a twist, the other way round : BigBadWolf as a Vampire, Grandma and Little Red as pets... though it might end up being less PG13 friendly... ;o)

Luc Gadioux

Yeovil's Genevieve, either through the ages (with its 3 incarnations) or focus on the one facing Drachenfels (the Old Necromant Demonologist would make for a great antagonist). As an actress, you can also have her wearing warious masks.

Luc Gadioux

(raise finger to join in provding help !) The approach they'll look for is a way to incorporate it so it stays open enough to not be considered too restrictive... For example, going with the Argonauts, you'll have an Hydra, Atalanta as a huntress/ranger that can be made to fit wood elf style, Heracles can be marauder/barbarian in aspect, you can have a fantasy Orpheus looking more or less as a rocker on tour, ...

Luc Gadioux

If you go for bat/vampire changing from one to the other, as the GW one, could you do it with a "correct anatomy" (I do realise the irony of that statement speaking of a mythical being ;) having its wings properly growing from it's fingers (as a true bat) instead of weird bones proturding from anywere...

Luc Gadioux

This concept has some real merit!

Gary Krieger

Venetian Vampires sounds interesting or even Vampires fitting the Masquerade genre. Tbh I would be super keen on another abyss release but I understand if others might not be on board for that. Greek theme might be useful for some considering a recent release for a popular RPG ;)

Kelly

And I'd love to see your take on Ancient Egypt.

Kristin Chernoff

Masque of the Red Death could be an inspiration.

Kristin Chernoff

The vampire/masquerade idea is great. I imagine the vampire and vampiress' from the move Van Helsing. They had a very well-dressed form and a distorted form. The masquerade scene was particularly cool. Bram Stoker's Dracula is another good example.

John Wainscott

this would be amazing

Aj

i appreciate it. thank you. I just want to give them feedback. if i opt out it doesnt mean i wont be back, just weighing options with my budget.

Aj

All 4 Ideas sound great to me but I am leaning towards the Vampires, though the other 3 are all brilliant, just whatever you do, make sure you enjoy doing it :)

Trent

HEROES Infinite? Perseus, Odysseus, Heracles, Achilles, Ajax, Hector, Theseus, Atalanta etc...

Eu

We havent even gotten this months how about less work on your trinkets and more on getting this month out

Jess Harris

I very much second this idea! Would love to the the Greek gods as adventures!!! For the vampires maybe they could be deep dark jungle vampires or each vampire is from a different race/region of a fantasy would?

Micah Williams

To AJ: I apologize if it sounded like I was criticizing you. My point is that any good designer would take your concern as a challenge to excel, and there is no doubt about this ones skill and talent. I definitely understand balancing what I can afford and supporting artists. I only meant designers enjoy challenges. Please accept my apology if I misspoke.

Dgimbo

Thinking aloud about the greek pantheon - I've seen them done as like epic models of the gods as gods, but what of they were interpreted by HI as fantasy adventurers? Artemis as an archer ranger, Athena as a spear and shield fighter with an owl, zeus as an elementalist wizard ... Making them character models instead of oversized Olympians.

Dustin Ballard

I think the idea of a vampire masquerade themed set sounds really interesting. It would help differentiate this release from the usual fantasy vampire nobles done by others.

Eurycleia

Vampires + Masquerade sounds pretty cool to me

Shawn Hakl

i have a shit ton of vampire models everyone does them , as well a s greek myth and holy light and paladins all this stuff has been done and re done over and over and i know its not easy to come up with new stuff i bet it dam near im possible some times i guess mash up might work ? like a vampire sea turtle ? a zombie octopus, a lich mere-man and his army of skeletal sharks and turtles ?

jeffrey jones

your creative interpretation of the Illuminati secret society would be cool

Steve Hurley

I mulled it over and I'm down for Aquatic Boogaloo part 2 out of the 4.

House Hendoe

Gras is my native languages word for weed. God dammit that confused me.

Lux Blubblub

That sounds lovly

Lux Blubblub

Those are incompatible with almost any game using squares due to the spacing it creates between minis within ranked formations. They only work well with skirmishing units or artillery, which are already acceptable on rounds.

Thannak

Games Workshop selles frames to proper lineup round bases. And i think they look better. The round bases.

Lux Blubblub

Here are a few ideas for February's theme. 1. Spellcasters. this could be a set with wizards, sorcerers, mages, and other magic/spell casting types. If chosen each character/model could come with a 3D spell effect that can be printed as well. 2. Something inspired by Chinese mythology. 3. A prehistoric theme with dinosaurs or dinosaur inspired creatures and cavemen/women/ barbarians. 4. Another underwater theme but maybe this time look to Jules Vernes 20000 Leagues Under the Sea. It would be a great way to introduce either a steampunk or cyberpunk underwater theme. 5. An entire set based upon Jules Verne's writings. Since there is a wide range of locations and themes such a set could be done in some interesting ways. I think in order to tie the set together using either a steampunk or cyberpunk basis for the design would be best.

Dan Fuller

I hope you do go with the Greek mythological idea as it would fit brilliantly with the 5e release. And also let’s face facts it just cool!

Gavin Biston

I'm a big fan of Christopher Lee.

Chris Lee

This man speaks truth.

Starlight

Something "different" that would fit the Raging Heroes aesthetic of action/flowing poses would be anime vampires - think Vampire Hunter D, Trinity Blood or Hellsing Ultimate as inspirations.

Starlight

after joining a week ago, loving demonicus, i was blown away by january. Take my money, and give me whatever you feel like for it. ill never print all of this, its all a biiiig folder of stuff i can print in downtime, and used if and when it ever becomes relevant. Even if i only want 50% of the releases, its still a solid purchase. rock on.

Luke Salter

+1 for Venetian Vampires!

Ralph Chilton

Alison, I love the horse/carriage idea! Ravenloft had an awesome carriage in the 1983 DnD module. That whole module had some interesting takes on the creatures of the night which could be used as a base to create from! Also lots of hunters throughout the legends, tales and stories could be useful for research!

Steve Westerlund

I am all about this vampire idea, I'm a big fan of the regal vampire look, but I have been looking for a miniature that captures the bat/monster/vampire like from Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula film. Not just a giant bat, but a creature that exudes personality and otherworldly menace. I feel like keeping this release bat/undead servant/vampire themed rather than branching into werewolves or ghosts is probably a good choice also.

Nikolas Matovinovic

Also to weigh in on the "utility value" argument, while agree that yours minis are challenging to paint (they're so intimidating I've never attempted it but I'm a novice painter and giant rats intimidate me) their crazy over the top artistic style and level of detail (what my BF calls "over design) is exactly what I love about Raging Heroes and the reason this is one of only two mini patreons I belong to.

Alison Gross

Suggestions so far that I really like include masquerade, vampires from other cultures, bats and human bat hybrids (maybe one of the vampire nobles can have some wolf pets too), and, especially, ghost horses. Especially if you go Victorian an elegant hearse/carriage to take the baroness to the ball would be delightful.

Alison Gross

i hope they do. i just have a limited amount of money. I also know that printing all of these is a commitment in itself. i fully understand its a support structure for the artists and i respect that. I understand its not a good im buying but supporting their art. That said im not testing or threatening anyone about anything. Im simply telling them how i feel about the options and my choice of spending income. Transparency works both ways.

Aj

Vampires in Venice. Look at the Brotherhood from Freebooters Fate or other Venice Style tabletops. I think you will create awesome stuff in every way. For the minions, how about some Igors and swamp ghuls. Bats and Werwolf like creatures from other races - like from dwarf, orcs, ratfolk, goblin, lizard usw. Or Skeletts from many races. You will do it in every way

Maik

My thing is, there are only so many genres out there and HI is just getting started. Vampires are really popular. Why wouldn't an awesome sculptor of miniatures do Vampires in their first year? Popular things are popular for a reason and they can't do niche stuff every month.

eyflfla

I agree with Lisa, but since AJ has thrown the gauntlet to the designer, I believe they will rise to the challenge presented. I'm positive we will get something unique and fresh.

Dgimbo

Personally, my wish would be more 'mantlepiece' sized sculpts, the ones so far are stunning!!

Grimwoody

Yup, have all the good and bad Juju mixed up in there

The Idle Hands Workshop - Stephen Miller

YES! I100% support this Idea. There are a lot of "fighter" like Vampires out there and although I would love to see some heavy armored Vampires - having some noble ones (maybe with clothing from different time periods?) would be awesome.

Maria zur Nedden

Look at this. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1115856510/kingdom-of-mercia-pre-supported-stl-files/description They are also on Patreon and MyMiniFactory.

Maik

One of the things we Patreon junkies who support a lot of Patreon need to remember is for some people this may be the only Patreon that some people support and just because everyone else has done vampires done not mean that Heroes infinite should do them differently I love the graceful style of this Patreon the flowing hair and cloth and I think vampire will fit well in this style so what I want to see is vampire done heroes infinite style

Lisa Kellogg

I had never thought of a Mardi Gras theme but that would be awesome! Mardi Gras mixed with voodoo would be cool!

Eric Stephenson

Beware of the dwarf vampire. Yeah 😋🤔😍😆 could be awesome.

Maik

Honestly, this is not appealing to me. Undead and Vampires are available everywhere. Even thingiverse has some good options. Even when big mini ceeators on patreon are outting the same thing out the same month. There were also a bunch released during Halloween season. I was really hoping for something more unique. I might be out next month, bummer.

Aj

Agreed.

Aj

February : Vampires (of different types) and undeads March : Greek mythology April : Sea Creature =)

Dellamorte Dellamore Zrl

What about something Giger inspired that could possibly be used in the new Aliens game or with games like Nemesis and stuff ??? And with Mardis Gras coming up a whole set based on that would be incredible !!!

The Idle Hands Workshop - Stephen Miller

I am a huge fan on you guys and I hope we will finally get some vampire baronesse. I prefer the more human and elegant Look rather then the more beast like. A council of vampire nobles doing a feast but on villigers! Trust me I am from România! They should definetly be seductive and powerfull!

Darian Velciov

Not big for the vampire/undead army as many other companies both for both stl and traditional miniatures have filled out standard undead pretty well. The masquerade bit seems like a good idea, they could be usable for other things. Maybe cast the net out for undead from other regions of the planet? There is cool folklore from all over the planet. We don’t really need more of anything that has a point cost on a Warhammer roster.

Vaughn allen

I always liked when vampires had a calm and collected version and an "unleashed" version. Like in Skyrim when you are a vampire you could turn into a super vampire for a while.

Fancy Davis

vampire undead hmm , what about a dragon made of only flesh ? everyone love dragon ! (if not , they need to be purged XD) could be cool like part of humans and animals transformed into a dragon zombie without bones so the shape can be realy grotesque (vampire magic is blood magic so a flesh dragon zombie isn't impossible) , what do you think everyone ?

Nightmare

Vampirs please

Valas

Ps I really enjoyed all of your creations so far. Keep the great creative work coming.

Paul Rollings

Coffins, tombstones, Graveyard archway and walls would be nice with this vampire theme. Even a tree or bush or cart etc.

Paul Rollings

Is a mixed races release on the table or does it require too much effort? I ask because I would love more story related miniatures than a specific race one. Like heroes vs evil sorcerer (mix of different adventurers, with one elf, one human, one dwarf...) or Angels vs Daemons or vampires vs vampire hunters. So instead of having a huge vampires release, having something like a few vampire hunters vs a vampire lord/lady and his/her minions (Minor vampires, undead, maybe a necromancer...). I would love to have mini stories each month.

Lord Chronos

Would it be possible to add some extra walls. doors, etc related to each theme. I loved the archers you did with the demons. But free stand alone ones that add to you inn set?

Paul Rollings

Saw a couple mentions of vampires from different cultures. I think that'd be a really cool way to go. Go for a sort of "vampire ruling council" vibe -- eschew the grunt - type models in favor of a smaller number of individual models that represent the head of a clan from different parts of the world (between 8 and 12 maybe? Whatever your work load permits, I'm thinking they'd all probably be 28 or 32mm scale, so small based). Your centerpiece could be a grand table or altar that each model can stand around. Whatever you guys do and however you decide to do it, I'm sure it'll be incredible!

Broc Reed

A countess bathory in all her blood drenched glory. I would love to have a larger printable version diorama size of this. I have seen others but just not to the imagination I believe could be handed out from this team.

JLP

What about the same vampire character depicted trhough different stages of his eternal life? With each time a different style of armour/clothing to represent the time or epoch he's in. Living though the ages, you'll have an Egyptian style, followed by greek/roman armor, medieval, Victorian (steampunk?) oufit, and why not even scifi? Assassins' creed series style or a bit like that montage of wolverine, charging through different wars and ages...

Kurt Grosjean

Some Vampiric Knights would be good and a vampire riding a dragon.

Clint Richards

just wanted to add that I'm seeing a lot of people saying they want more compatibility with existing wargaming armies, and this theme could easily overlap with Nighthaunts.

Andrea Giargiari

please no Warhammer

Jeremy Lee Algood

Just...please no spiders. Scorpions, crabs, whatever else you got...but I had to mute raging heroes for like 2 moths last time they did spider stuff, I'm that phobic. ;_;

Andrea Giargiari

To get some Kislev Miniatures. What about vampiric Zar or Zarina?

Christian

How about vampires in the line of Brian Lumley's Wamphyri? I.e. humans in a symbiotic relationship with a parasite shaped like a lamprey. Loads of interesting concepts like the shaping of flyers and tank-like juggernauts from metamorphic flesh...

Ruairidh Smith

I would love to see some smaller ghouls in this set, I feel like it's always generic zombies or big zombies... Give us some gribblies!!

James Moyer

I'm sure that what you'll have in mind about vampire will be amazing as always. I wrote something about "good" vampires that fight something, so i made a pdf to read everything i got in mind. It's just 2 pages but I hope that something can help with your release. https://www.docdroid.net/YxQJJPd/the-vampheroes-pdf

Lind

A bit disappointed about the vampire theme, but I'm really looking forward to the months with paladins and Greek mythology.

Lars Doepper

Something I think gets overlooked is that plenty of Vampire spawn are made from dead adventurers - that would be a cool take. Also, I think some Undead Leviathan, like a Dracolich or something, would be cool as heck!

Daniel Richards

Oh hell yea vampires are awesome, how about a nice vampire count on undead dragon, something traditional and Transylvania like. Very gothic and masquerade Iike is what i think I'm trying to say

Conan Lucas

Vampires! Wow Amazing theme! I know some really really good vampires from magic the gathering! If its possible u can build a Vampire hunter like this on these picture: https://www.deviantart.com/steveargyle/art/Guul-Draz-Vampire-138645965

Dennis Rosenboom BOOM Online Marketing

I'm a big fan of mayan/aztec vampires, perhaps themed around the Camazotz god. I have a homebrew d&d setting where a sun god spawns dinosaurs by day. While a bat god transforms humanoids and other creatures into vampires at night. During dusk and dawn, the entire jungle is a warzone as one side overtakes the other. An eternal cycle that won't end until the bat god finally devours the sun and brings about everlasting night.

Leviathan

Most vampires are depicted as looking pretty much human, just with pointy teeth and fairer skin due to not tanning well. Therefore any aristocracy models could really be used as vampire court whereas the more monstrous elements, the giant bats and other undead minions are far more unique. However, there's not a whole lot of aristocracy models out there though, so that could be an idea for the future.....

Ben Newman

I’d like to speak up for square bases in the future. It sucks ignoring these lovely scenic pieces because they can’t rank up like in a proper fantasy wargame.

Thannak

Vampir hold stile version Manfred e Neferata For proxy AoS 😁

Davide Bonny

Warhammer Fantasy was intended to have two additional Bloodlines in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay which were both hinted ag and set up to exist in Black Library novels but didn’t make it into the actual book, the Jade-Blooded (Chinese) and Mahtmasi (Arab). There was also Norse and Celt vampires who were only implied but never really elaborated on. https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Mahtmasi https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Jade-Blooded In addition to the Sartosan/Dreadfleet pirate vampires, those would be interesting paths to explore.

Thannak

I would love to see more sea themed creatures, almost no one has touched this and it's sorely lacking. I also like the idea of more Vampires and Undead.

Josh Teeter

Vampires type Vlad Tepes, i like

Roberto Caballero fernandez

YES!!!! UNDEADS!!!!! and i dont need other stuff than gritty fantasy undeads. XD but love it either way XD

Mike Bolin

I think vampires is a good choice. I agree Victorian/Steampunk style would be a nice change from the norm. When I think of vampires, I often think of them doing something violent, or in conversation being social. So I would like to suggest HI create two models with poses that are unique on their own but when moved base to base and rotated, it looks like the two models are interacting in some way. Maybe the models are interacting in a violent way, or it appears as if the two models are in conversation, or sizing each other up etc. See Kingdom Death: Death High Intimacy couple for reference. You don't see the miniatures interaction until the miniatures are base to base and turned toward each other about 45 degrees. At any rate I'm excited to see what HI does with Vampires.

Joel

It doesn't necessarily need to be Greek Mythology. Norse, Aztec, Celtic, Egyptian would also be good . . . a battle of the Gods?

stevo cuello

Big agree with this, what's a vampire without peasants to Lord over. Nothing

Matthew Robson

I love the idea of a Greek myth set too. We can put together a little paper to help them out should they decide to take it up in future

Matthew Robson

I would love to see some automatons, preferably science fantasy or steampunk. There have always been a lot of standard race/class combinations out there for printing, like dwarf paladin, elf ranger, but trying to find a cool automaton character is challenging. And I know you could make this idea look incredible!!

Dehv

Vampires are done by a lot of Patreons so really hoping for something better. Not so certain about the Greek Mythology either. Will wait and see.

Gary Krieger

I would love to see at least one vampire riding a flaming steed, I'm playing a curse of strahd campaign and the main villain famously rides a 'nightmare' around. That's also absolutely something that would sell on MMF since Curse of Strahd is one of the most famous and played dnd campaigns out there

Matthew Robson

Short answer: Vampires: Well dress Noble French Vampires or over the top well dressed Russian Vampires. Overall they should have a civilized look to them to make them usable with other lines. Undead: There are endless ghouls and skeletons. What about a more civilized look, like someone that looked normal unless you looked close? These could be used as the "personal retainers" for the Vampires. Long answer: As there are many classic Vampire / Undead lines already, redoing the same thing is of little value however making it "close" enough that people could use their existing vampire / undead models to "fill out" the rest of the force would make whatever new way you go more useable. Therefore I would not recommend a style that was so far from classic Vampires that they would look odd next to them. Instead perhaps consider semi-close looks, such as "dressed to the 9s" (meaning the pinnacle of high society fashion) French nobility Vampires, or some other set that though unique, would still "look good" sitting next to an existing undead or vampire army. The other undead, I think there are endless normal undead, however if you wanted to find that "middle ground" between ghoul and noble vampire it can be quite hard, so perhaps some "civilized" undead that could be the personal retainers for the Vampires. No matter what you decide, have fun with it and no stress, I am sure everyone here will appreciate your work no matter what direction this release goes in.

Dr.V

Personally I'm a little burned out on the Vampire and Undead theme. I think that trying to "give it a new treatment" will get glazed over by patrons and/or new patreon recruits. With that being said, if this is the route you want to go with for this month then I appreciate you asking a small portion of the community on our thoughts, so I will give you my subjective thoughts. Personally I think that if you are going to do vampires and undead then you need to shoot for the R rating. Stay away from campy cartoonish looking sculpts. They need to be the thing of nightmares when you set them on the table. Please no 90's Goth Masquerade vampires. Please no Vampire Diaries or True Blood, or Fright Night "Evil Ed". You get my point.

Brock Burch

Vampires from the time Vlad Tepes "the Impaler" lived in Transylvania.

Robert Egli

I want ghost horses, so undead and vampires would be great, in a ghostly or energy theme.

lil sheep

More than zombies and skeleton cliches, I'd like to see an epic take on things we don't see many designers take on, like Wraiths, Wights, Specters, Ghosts, Liches, and some really mean lookin' Ghasts and/or Ghouls.

Alex A

While I would prefer Knights, the Vampire theme is incredible! I'm thinking of Vampire nobility, regal rulers of the common street urchins, where human are but cattle... These vampires appear sophisticated and transcendent on the surface, but deep within lurks a horror man cannot fathom...! You could do minis with a noble regal version, and a version of them UNLEASHED. Think of Sorin Markov from Magic the Gathering and vampires of Innistrad for inspiration 😉

Yarik Hansraj

On lycan's: This month's RNE Studio's got some good ones that are close enough to HI style to look good together.

Richard Bowers

Personally i am also rather for Steampunk/Victorian. Masks can be interesting and it could fit the Steampunk/Vampire topic, but i would also like to see some minis within the set without masks. And definitly a lycan/werewolf servant. Despite that, I love all the ideas and i will definitly stay to see all of them, no matter the order.

Lux Blubblub

VAMPIRATES!!!!

Warren Beall

I think my vote would be for Holy knights / Paladins. I really miss the old GW Bretonnia knights and would love a Arthurian/Camelot Knights of the Round Table sort of thing.

Neight

I agree with the comment about your transparency in your communications...it's appreciated! Since the theme is vampires, I also agree that the masquerade concept is the most appealing to me...since hopefully I could use the figures for something other than vampires if they're wearing masks. Undead I can use....vampires not so much.

Rob Leonard

Let's go Castlevania style for Vampires with turned townsfolk with a Trevor Belmont and Sypha style heroes. As for the undead go with some sick and twisted stuff, not the cookie cutter stuff. I want to look at it and be like wtf.

Core Power Elite Training

+1 to everything said here. I'm starting to downselect patreons, too much duplication. HI's stuff seems to be rendered and printed as two very distinct steps, and it's not clear that gamers are really involved along the way - that's OK, but it means that there's a lot that's fun to paint if I can ever get it to print, and a tupperware full of failed prints. or things that'll never get used.

Richard Bowers

Steampunk/victorian would make them usable. I'm sure you'll avoid having them look like yet another copy of everyone else's. Wouldn't mind a dhampir/hunter, LoL Vayne like (use Black Rose/Faizel as the basis - they're already almost there). How about a Danse Macabre (from Pathfinder) as a centerpiece?

Richard Bowers

The second idea I think would be pretty cool and something I haven't seen done...Kind of an Anne Rice vampire theme where you have Vampires from different backgrounds and different cultures and different time frames...from ancient civilizations to modern era...

Joy Doner

I definitely second this. I play age of sigmar and I 3d print models to stand in as it is much cheaper to print. I also play D&D. They are both in fantasy worlds and royal aristocratic vampires don't really work for me at all.

Richard Morse

I'd like a Victorian era theme...think Bram Stoker's Dracula...I think vamp brides with high ruffled collars would be amazing. Maybe do a "civilized" pretty version and a vamped out version of each character. A pretty little child Vamp would be pretty cool as well.

Joy Doner

First I was like: hmmm... maybe some sorts of Underworlds/Blade/Blood Rayne?-Style Vampires... You know with guns and blades and some Ghouls and Werewolfs as Minions/Adversaries... But then I thought Mascerade Vampires could also be nice (might go as Harlequin-Proxies)... Oh yeah and a seductive Vampiress should be there too :D Not you Guillermo ;)

Marco Klitzing

there's this weird cartoon show on .. netflix i think. it's a radio host in a town overrun by supernatural groups. one of the story he tells involves people who are actually giant, sentient mosquitoes.

Dwayne Hinton

what about lycan servants?

Dwayne Hinton

Sea Creatures part 2

Jeremy Lee Algood

with steampunk gear! then they can be TMNT - vampire!

Dwayne Hinton

has anyone mentioned incorporating steampunk into the vampires, especially if any of them are of a victorian setting. although - steampunk dark elf vamps could also be interesting. dark elves already have all kinds of demonic, humanoid, and even undead servants. a high priestess vampire of lolth who has a hulking, steampunk-powered bodyguard? dark elf vampires with ties to cthulhu? imperial dark elf vampires leading hordes of humanoids on their wars of conquest?

Dwayne Hinton

Vampires and undead are awesome. Some tattered revenants, rotting zombies, and feral monstrous half bat things. Maybe a sexy vampirella model... Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Kurt Kier

I'd love to see a set of vampires across time/cultures. So you'd have a Dracula-esque "eastern european count" vampire, a Chinese "hopping" vampire, a Lestat-style "french aristocrat" vampire, an obayifo/adze "African" vampire, a leather-jacket punk "World of Darkness" vampire, etc etc etc.

Stevan Brasel

Would love to see Noble vampires. Show off how regal they can be. Kings, Queens, Aristocrats, etc. Not every vampire is a fanged monster

John Brennan

Please keep in mind usability. Though I do enjoy the artistic models you are creating, I imagine many of us actually use these for games; whether it be skirmish and tabletop games, or RPGs. Many of the models are very challenging to print and don't do well in gaming. Of all the Patreons I support, I am finding that H.I. is seeing fewer of actual printing that I do. And finally, since undead and vampires have been covered very recently by several Patreons, like your files on Raging Heroes, make them sexy as hell to stand out.

Michael Orona

Vampires sure is a theme I haven't explored in my painting so I'm super excited to get my hands on whatever you guys make for us! As per the Greek Mythology theme, being Greek, makes it my favourite theme in any medium! Now, since I've seen some poor designs, especially in the names, in some games (The name of "Uro" from Magic The Gathering literally translates to "Urine") I would be glad to help you with any research you might need since, well... you know, I know a thing or two about my ancestors.

Δήμος Καλογεράκης

We all know that Tortle Vampires are what's really needed!

HAChaos

I'm hoping for the "ethereal" asthetic from the earlier thread. Dancing spirits, masks, roses, hour glasses...in fact a spectral ball would be a lovely premise. Lots of flowing wispy aesthetic.

Andrea Giargiari

No love for Tieflings even on Valentines 😪

House Hendoe

Elf/Dark Elf and other nonhuman vampires might be interesting.

Dustin Ballard

I am all in for a very seductive vampiress. Beautiful, noble but also sexy :D

LucreziaNavarre

I always associated vampires with bats and would love to see some bat themed vampires. Monstrous bat hybrids, giant bat mounts, bat-wolf hunting beasts, a vampire transforming into a swarm of bats... you get the idea.

Terje Erwing Bjelkholm

Spider vamps in a jungle setting. Mixing spiders and humanoids to create a new race of blood suckers that live deep in a unforgiving canopy covered jungle.

Douane Schnyder

PLEASE DO A PETER CUSHING VS. A CHRISTOPHER LEE! PLEEEEEASE!!!

Eu

A vampire wielding blood magic through self mutilation or through a sacrifice

Chris Ordonez

first, I like the transparency of your updates. Second, fingers crossed for a unique take on vampires. already have multiple great sets from other great creators, and wouldn't want too much redundancy. But I've been here since the first month, so I'm sure you'll knock it out of the park like you have been... The masquerade idea does sound fun. not too many masked figures out there.

wordflyer

I for one would love RH vampires for use as the core of an Undead army for kings of war; praying for a vampiress on a dark Pegasus (or winged unicorn); a modular unit of heavy armored vampire infantry would also be incredible; as would a modular unit of heavy cav; realistically though, I’m going to print and paint this whole range anyway

Paul Goodwin

As you are going with the Vampires, if you guys could do something like the mighty Varghulf from warhammer total war, this would be epic 😀 big bat wolf hybrid tank. And generally more badass vamps rather than floaty pulse smokers haha
