Upcoming DEC 2020 Release: The Host of the Demonicus

Benoit just recorded a video to share with you what's on deck for December! And I've managed to grab a first teaser image:

Upcoming DEC 2020 Release: The Host of the Demonicus

Comments

What about giving us some checksums for the zip files ? A txt file with some sha256 int it would be an easy way for some of us to be sure everything has gone right during the download. Well, of course I know than most of us don't use this. I'm kind of a linux user, and got some habits. :)

Vaarmore

What about some super heroes ? I'm sure your teams would make something awesome !

Vaarmore

THIS RELEASE IS AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAING FOR DECEMBER

Robert Smith

That would be great! Much more convenient

Harry Morris

Oh wow. Thai, Indonesian or Indian miniatures would be amazing. I didn't think of that.

Alison Gross

Do you know where one can purchase his stuff? I've looked and looked and can't find it anywhere.

Alison Gross

Please. Please this. 1000% this.

Dr.V

Hi Benoit, I notice that the Black Friday coupon does not apply to the complete sets? This could be an oversight, or technical hitch, as the banner does say "60% off entire store"... but I also understand if this is a business decision; recouping your investment in these models would be extremely challenging. However, providing opportunity for Patreon's to 'back fill' their collections at a reduced cost from time to time is something many creators offer, and increases our sense of loyalty to you through the exclusivity of our relationship. If indeed, this is an oversight, it would be nice if you can ensure the coupon works for another 24 hours so those of us 'in the know' can still grab past sets at as reduced price (timezones considered). Regardless, I will still cherry pick individual prints and continue to support you and the team as the work you are producing is dynamic and of high quality. As a non-gamer (sacrilege, I know) the centre pieces are brilliant, and a bold, example of not listening to the naysayers, or even those with good intent, as we only know what we know. Community, is the safe haven where the individual can express creativity. However, listen too intently, and we will normalise you into a stupor; safe but boring and constraining. This community needs your creative leadership Benoit, which is a very difficult role as you must put your personal fears and concerns to one side. Beyond quality and constructibility, you must resist giving us what we want, and give us what we didn't know we so desperately needed, until we saw it. For that is the spirit of Patreon.

Darque

Totally agree, would love to see this.

Adam Randall

Is there any chance of patreon linking with myminifactory? A lot of my other patrons are doing it and it is super convenient. In case i forget to download a month, or something is updated after i download and i do not see the update

Blake Moody

The demons look cool. I'd love to see some retro future stuff: Atomic era design. Think Flash Gordon and Buck Rodgers from the era when rocket ships had tail fins. You've got your ray-gun heroes and heroines, your space barbarians and alien princesses. It would be a blast.... an Atomic *Blast*!

CURTIS CRADDOCK

I'll toss my suggestions into the ring: (second time attempting to save this edit) Steampunk Old West (could be a combo of steampunk like Wild Wild West) Asian - Thai/Indonesian or Indian vs Oriental Mesoamerican and Incan Victorian/Gothica I like a lot of the suggestions for Vamps, Knights, Barbarians, Undersea, and Dark Elves. I think that there is a lot of great suggestions out there in regards to different cultures and time periods that could be explored.

Samantha Francoeur

I would love some sisters clerics from your other lines.

ARM

Mount Olympus or Atlantis style? And I am super excited for these demons!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your art style!!! <3

JANUARY A MALONEY

Or a patreon version only of them. Give some incentive for others to join up for the great miniatures.

William W

I guess I would love whatever theme you may develop but Undersea has my vote above all.. mermaids, octopuses, atlantis warriors, heavily armored seahorses.. all led by an immense Poseidon/ sea goddess.. :)

Alessandro

I follow Iain Lovecraft's stuff and the two campaigns I'm interested in seeing stuff for are in line with his Asian Adventures and recent Desert Adventures. So... Samurai, ninja and geisha all strike a specific cord for me, And on the desert side, Arabian, Egyptian or a lost legion of undead Roman Legionaries.

James Kite

Drow, or Dragonborn! Or something grimdark and gothic

Aaron B

animorphics. Mouslings, loxadon, werebeasts. badgerolk, kitsune, catfolk... but... raging hero style!

Marc Militello

Deep sea is a favorite theme for me. Mer folk, serpents, dragon turtles, krakens. Lycanthropes would be cool. Different were-creatures. I like the idea of environment themed sets. Swamp creatures, desert creatures, mountainous creatures. Etc.

Roddy Novogradac

I'm looking forward to the Dec release! Ideas for future: - Postapocalyptic Sci-fi - Greeks and the Labours of Heracles (upvote) - Vampires, but maybe with a twist of Vamps across genres like Sci-Fi, Steampunk, Western, Fantasy, etc.

Scott Evil

Or just a whole bunch of just plain common folk done in medieval style, bakers, butchers, fishmongers, tallymen, cobblers, fletchers, bowyers, candlemakers, cooper, wainwright...any of the other multitude of never seen villagers that an adventurer may run into in town.

Walter Hosking

Full on Brettonian style knights in full regalia, both mounted and on foot. Some squires for good measure, a supply train of wagons full of tents, food and other supplies.

Walter Hosking

Undersea theme sounds sick. Mer-warriors and a kraken? Heck yeah. But I gotta put in a plug for vampires. It's always surprised me you haven't done more vampires, as your style is just perfect for the theme. Can't wait to see the whole demons release for December!

Broc Reed

Future I was...Samurai vs. Ninjas provides some great opportunities (fantastic creatures and standard humans). On the Demons would it be possible to get wingless options or something Nurgle like without treading on copyrighted material?

Jon Hammersley

The Iceland Troll that would be great 🤩❤️

Isabelle Guerville

All I want for Christmas is to be able to buy the Angels release I missed. I'm buying that and maybe a dozen individual models I missed out on. I'm totally stoked for the Demons. You guys do not disappoint. My votes for future themes: Western Samurai/Ninja Seafolk - i.e. Mermaids Steampunk - Victorian, with an Airship Some other ideas to toss on the pile eventually: Barbarians Medieval Calvary - a bunch of knights on horseback. Dragons Robin Hood and his Merry Men Native Americans Werewolves Ghosts/Undead Various other cultures like Vikings, Egyptians, Aztecs, Desert Nomads

eyflfla

So excited about next month!!!! Hhhmmm for future maybe vampires, knights/shieldmaiddens, steampunk, hell riders (motorcycles) 🙂

Michelle Oakes

We have fierce pirates, mystical thiefs, and fairies, angels, circus freaks, high tech cyberpunks... how about old west? Gunfights, duels at dawn, a saloon with gorgeous frenchy girls dancing, bartender & poker tables, why not... I'm sure you can give them a twist to make a breathtaking release :D

Toni Lopez

sets of themed demon releases would be cool (similar to how GW has demons for each faction)

William W

Thank you for all you guys do and the video was good. I would hope to see something like the void elves or lust elves. I have been hoping since day one that we would see some of the original models as stls.

Leon bermudez

Ancient times -> Greeks (and Spartans! <3), Romans. Heroes from the Iliad. Actually, could be great to play Gangs of Rome or similar. :D The Labours of Heracles theme? With creatures and characters from the stories.

Lelaeth

I would also like a destert theme, like the Thieves Guild. Sharpshootes on flying Carpets, Genies, some crazy cavalierie or Warmaschinelie a Dhinn driven catapult or some "sand worms", Warelephants or Beastmastre with Lions and Gepards ??

Dirk Schwenke

That's a nice teaser and I'm very excited about the Demon release. :D

Sumsibert

id like monsters / heroes of the undersea... and hows about desert themed - genies, magic lanterns, camels, etc... and modern day warfare - see https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/-sayjo/military-base?ref=profile_saved_projects_live for ideas... you could even do soldiers 1 month, then fantasy, then war vehicles, then fantasy, then war buildings and so on...

Paul Herridge

Coming in right in time for you: https://www.ragingheroes.com/pages/wizardschristmas

Raging Heroes

"-Sci-Fi in some 60’ & 70’ Barbarella/Buck Rogers style." OMG YES PLEASE! :D

jono

Yes, yes, mermaids would be AMAZING! I can never find the kind of mermaid release I want and you guy’s take on it would be amazing

peetey897

Ha ha ha, you're right! But I would love to have one with a santa hat at least :D

Killian Forest

Im so jazzed for the Demons release. How about a steampunk underwater themed? Sort of old school Captain Nemo style meets underwater aliens or creatures.

Mark Ortiz

Aquatic or ancient egyptian themes would be awesome

Ben Newman

I'd very much like to see an army of Paladins to complement the fantasy sisters; they are great 'specialist' troops, but I've always felt we needed the line infantry, archers/gunners, and cavalry to supply the remainder of that force. I'd also enjoy some sci-fi that could work into Infinity, Mass Effect, Star Wars, or Expanse, if that's possible.

Dustin Ballard

Demons can be christmas themed with appropriate colors :D

Rob Henderson

Oh man some early style sci fi would be great

Rob Henderson

Kights/Palladins

Hakan Swenson

I was hopping for something more christmas-oriented :'(

Killian Forest

Love the idea of undersea. Octopuses and anglerfish.

Diana Glewwe

Asian, Steampunk, Aquatic are all above and would be great.

Richard Bowers

Super excited for both next months release as well as the ornament Kickstarter. Someone actually asked me if I could print them an ornament as a Christmas gift. Great timing! In terms of the January release, perhaps an Indian/Southeast Asian mythology theme? I feel the Raging Heroes Aesthetic would do very well to capture the deities, rakshasas, nagas, and other being as depicted in carvings such as the temples in Cambodia.

Stephen Pfann

mermaid

Jeremy Lee Algood

Looks great! Looking forward to the daemonic december realese🙂 As for things in the future maybe you could do a set of miniatures based on 1 of the 4 elements? Or perhaps some heavy armoured orcs/goblins? Would also love to see your take on Treemen/treefolk, Trolls and Dwarves🤩 No matter what you do I know its going to be great. Thank you for all the love and hard work you put into all these miniatures🤗

Christoffer Robin Nøklestad

Always great getting updates from you guys. Simply love your style and even though I might not find a use for all of your models, you're the one Patreon I support every month. The teaser-Pic looks great, can't wait to see the whole release. Some things I'd love to see would be Vampires, Knights, Vikings or Ancient Greek if it where to be fantasy/medieval. For Sci-fi I'd love to see stuff that would fit into Universes like Mass Effect (a Krogan would be Killer :D) or Destiny. Keep it up and stay safe ;)

Marco Klitzing

Appreciate the heads up and the teaser image looks awesome. As far as things to come...Egyptian theme maybe?

William W

I second the mermaids/undersea vote. Especially if it would include a sea serpent. I love sea serpents. Also maybe some cool deep sea angler fish inspired monsters or something. But pretty mermaids/sea horse/angel fish minis would be cool too.

Alison Gross

Ooh, does this mean the chaos wurm, who was the centerpiece in the angel release, or his minions will be showing up here again? Also, will there be a big bad angel center piece to battle the chaos wurm? Super excited for this as well as for the KS. Keep up the good work.

Alison Gross

-One vote for Steampunk! -Seafolk/Underwater/Mermaids -Knights/Palladins. -Sci-Fi in some 60’ & 70’ Barbarella/Buck Rogers style. -Vampires -Musketeers/Renaissance ...need to think more themes w’ lovely ladies in them.

Pasi Saarinen

I'd love to be more sci-fi (Destiny style) or Cyberpunk!

Corvus Occisor

Thanks for the update, although you left me wanting more! How about something with an Aboriginal or Māori (or both) feel either as artwork (an interpretation of Cleopatra's Needle or similar) or as tribal markings with warriors

Mark Reynolds

Looks awesome! Can’t wait to see full I age. Folklore samurai and ninjas.

Veral_Nerevar

Love all the stuff you make! you asked what we wanted next month and I wanted to say, without a doubt. STEAM PUNK!

James Berryman

Killing it, as always; already got me with the pre supported pirates, now you have me hyped for Christmas and a loyalty reward! I’d live to see Samurai/Asian inspired folklore as mentioned above; I’d live to see a set building on your physical dia de los muertos line; this could mix well with a western and/or steam punk theme. Also... pirates... 2?

Paul Goodwin

Demons sound great! I'ld just ask for some nightmare and ugly demons and not only sexy succubus.

laura giménez

Just started a new Slaanesh army so Im looking forward to see more demons! I also would always love some take on Wild West.

Josh Davis Miniatures

Ideas for things I would like to see in the future: Maybe Wild West themed. You don't see that often and it could be neat. There could be Samurai? Maybe even something otherworldly and alien all together.

Rob Henderson

I can't wait to see the demons!
