Cyberpunk VS Angels: Will there be SciFi ?... A detailed answer

Dear Patrons,

Well, there is no doubt that the change from Cyberpunk to Angels has stirred a lot of emotions but also a lot of very interesting questions.

The first thing we must say is that we’ve been moved by the passion and engagement you have for your hobby and that we got a lot of insights by following your comments in the last few days. We took some time to give a chance to everyone to express their opinion and to be able to give you a deep and detailed answer. 

I have done so in the podcast above.

At the heart of this discussion is the question: “How do we split the releases between SciFi and Fantasy?”

So in the following podcast, I try to answer this question by addressing the key points you’ve made through your comments and the many things that derive from them:

• One of the biggest takeaways is that, whether you prefer Sci Fi or Fantasy, you’ve shown your support in our work and basically recommended that we should do what we want and not get intimidated by some of the comments. This is a very appreciated vote of confidence and I explain what this means for us in terms of planning for this Patreon. 
• Your comments also raise the question that polls are problematic because if 51% of the patrons want fantasy… well, we are bound to always get Fantasy. This is a tricky point because, well... that’s the problem with democracy itself…! Can we solve that? Basically, the answer to this runs through this whole podcast.
• Some of you said it’s been 5 months already and somehow we were not true to our word and have not delivered on our promise to do Sci-Fi releases!! And I cannot let that go unanswered because this is an unfair statement and I explain why in detail.
• Why don’t we hire, why don’t we run a second Patreon dedicated to Sci-Fi? Oh boy, this is a good question with so many ramifications! You’ll get to hear our thoughts on all this!
• I also answer many other points that have been raised through your numerous comments and questions, and finally give you some in-depth insight into what goes into producing a Patreon release every month.

So, what are the plans ?

Yes we’ll do Sci-Fi in the future and November looks like a good month for a Cyberpunk release since Cyberpunk 2077 will be released in November and this might raise an additional substantial interest for the genre.
