End of Watch

I'll tell you what Dev, when you have someone who you love... who you would take a bullet for... If you're in the military, if you're police officer, if you're involved in any high risk activity and I'm talking from people raised together that end up in the same gang, private military contractors all of that. From the "bad guys" to the "good guys" Wherever you fall on that spectrum... You truly never know when your day is going to be your last day. BUT THE WORST PART. THE ABSOLUTE WORST PART of living any of those lifestyles is watching the person who has your back. the person that would take their shirt of their back for you do ANYTHING FOR YOU... DIE FOR YOU... Have their LAST DAY. That shit will kill you inside 1,000 times over and I PROMISE YOU, I promise you that you will think of it more than a million times before your last day comes. Survivors guilt is not only heavy but that shit makes you want to switch places with a dead man/women. PS. I always get chills up my spine whenever I come across a Santa Merete Shrine. Even though it's not my religion and I have my own set of Gods and Goddesses I follow I still respect the other Gods and Goddesses of the universe and all their saints... and this deity is catholic BUT IS CONDEMED by the CATHOLIC CHURCH. So just a heads up to anyone reading this comment. If you ever come across an altar dedicated to Nuestra Señora de la Santa Muerte. Turn around and walk away, keep walking and after you keep walking never come back. The people that turn to her for her protection are people who know they can't ask God for protection. They know who they are, they know what they do and they know Santa Muerte will guide them because no one else will.
