Troy Part 2

Damn that history lesson for yo ass. It's fascinating how a lot of the history we think we know aren't really factual in a sense.

Aye Dev great movie pick and great reaction! I rock with your analysis of the movie. This is my thoughts, ANY MOVIE WHERE SEAN BEAN DON'T DIE IS A GOOD MOVIE! Lmao no cap. Here is some cool things about the Trojan War that I didn't find out until I was older. This movie was the first introduction for me to the Trojan War, I was born in the early 90s and movie dropped in what? '04? So I was like ten. It was only later that I learned that there is little to no evidence that this war even happened. They just found out I think a handful of years ago where Troy was actually located. Everyone mostly knows/knew about the Trojan war due to transcribed ancient texts known as "The Illiad" "The Odyssey" both by someone named Homer and another book written by someone named Virgil a couple hundred years later called "The Aeneid" So these three books were the basis of everything we knew about this war for straight up centuries. They actually play on some of this in the movie. The dude carrying the old man on his back that is given the sword of Troy by Paris, that's the main character for the third book. So these books have a super heavy mythos feel to it. These books basically said and showed that It was the Gods that played tricks on the men and women making them fall in love to create chaos for their own enjoyment and other shit like that. Also I really liked this movie because the cast was dope, the costumes were on point and their over all attention to detail was on point, for example the rituals performed after death and the death games etc. 10/10 Dev Keep em coming!
