Anyone who SPECIFICALLY asks for a number is a red flag imo. If it comes up, you will say it, but it did not come up in a healthy relationship I had with a guy, and then right now I am dating someone who I think might be the love of my life (it has been almost 11 months as of now) and the number topic still has not come up, he never asked or cared in specific. We tell each other about our past a lot, but never this many numbers etc., the important thing to talk about are the experiences and not hiding what happened, but if he were to wonder and ask I would just answer.

Are you just another in a long list of the same type? Or are you the change-up to break out of an unfortunate pattern of the wrong type of partner? Like Monica is definitely trying something new with Richard because the usual types of guys arenβt working. And maybe Rachel too in Ross, to get away from the Barrys and Paolos of her past.

Talking about exes in general is something that has to happen I feel, but that conversation oh just how much history your partner has is always an awkward one. But I think itβs great how the show presents it as not being something you really fight over, but playfully discuss in the end without trying to get all jealous, upset, or depressed about. Everyone has past experience and itβd be a shame to miss out on extraordinary people just because they dared or had sex before they met you.
