Agents of Shield S3 E1 Review

Kevin didn't have full control over them so he didn't "claim" them. But he had to play nice because of Marvel. Which is why when Disney+ shows were announced as the "first time". I'm wish MUltiverse of Madness has a cameo, but we will see.

Fitz is like James Bond now but without the fighting ability I love his dedication him and Coulson scene was so good! Where everyone’s at you’ll like where it goes

This show is fantastic! "Evolution" is the best word, and I can confirm that it evolves season after season. SHIELD got better the more and more it did its own thing, and wasn't just reactive to the MCU. It's canon---the weird part is most people who insist it isn't haven't even watched the show.

Also after watching the review, i think another big reason why Feige didnt include AoS in the main MCU is because of the Inhumans stuff.. while this show was running, an Inhumans movie was still planned (which ended up turning into that dead show) and AoS were doing really well with the Inhumans story so Kevin just let them run with it. Do be careful if you look up the full story though Sam, i know i had a spoiler for a later season when i tried.

By the end of the show you will be able to piece together a place in the timeline/multiverse for AOS. It’s SUPER SATISFYING to work out too, you’ve got some proper fire conversations ahead. Agent Carter S1 is the only other ABC show that I would consider essential, it had the most MCU writer input and slots PERFECTLY into the timeline AND the shows OG Jarvis is in Endgame!

Stoked to see AOS back, I really think you guys are going to love this season; everyone has leveled up. Get ready for a mad one!

IIRC, beyond all the canon/non-canon arguments there are now, I think the original intent for several seasons for it to be like a parallel canon. But because the show was on TV network and network filming schedule linking the wider MCU to the show was logistically a nightmare in both directions. Like, the TV actors film 9 months out the year and production on the movies is so long. Not to mention the TV airing schedule was so difficult to coordinate with the movies, and timing things, especially in a universe that's so liable to spoilers, would be too tricky given the pace of production. Marvel Studios still retained veto rights on storylines throughout the show's run though, I think.

I think initially (S1 and maybe even early S2) AOS was supposed to be canon in the MCU but then they sort of 'split' or the MCU distanced itself or whatever. I've always seen it as canon tbh especially having watched the whole thing, I still feel like it is so I'm sticking to that.

Agents of Shield is really good at reinventing itself with every season and switch up the dynamics between each characters, one of my favorite thing this episode is the Daisy x Mack partnership, we saw the inception of that last season finale so it was really dope to see it continue this episode.
