Of course would like to see you guys' thoughts on continuing this show and your feedback on it. Some talent in this video was quite shocking, good and bad but I'm interested to see how they turn out with training.

2023-04-18 18:26:19 +0000 UTCalso want to add, people tend to focus on the evil editing whilst forgetting the underdog stories they still inject, and the hero editing (yes mnet does include hero editing). That being when they show a trainee not catching up/a slow learner, another trainee will step up to help them out. (spoiler, lee seunghwan would be an example, as they gave him good editing when he helped out daeul) Also they did do bad editing on krystian but then there was good editing later. It's also not solely on the editors as there has been many examples of them just putting in what was recorded cause some trainees do the evil editing on their own... Also one last thing to add, at this point in the show (where I'm watching), the groups are mixed together like Korean and global trainees in groups together and the votes don't solely go to Korean trainees like people are saying. There have been many moments in the show where the non Korean trainees win and a lot of the non Korean trainees are getting voted into the top 9, so don't automatically assume based on some comments that the top 9 with be like 8 Korean trainees and 1 non Korean trainee (not saying something like this has happened in the past before cause it has, but I don't see this going in that direction based on how the votes have been going it's actually pretty balanced out).

2023-04-18 13:00:24 +0000 UTCI honestly would say continue it, i know some people don't like mnet and immediately write off the show, but watching only 2-3 episodes ain't enough and as someone who has watched countless other survival shows (especially mnet ones) this one hits different. yes i will agree that peak time might be better, but this show is a close second for being a change in the game for survival shows. especially with the talent coming in, also there is such a HUGE improvement for a lot of these guys in their vocals, dance, performance overall through the training with the masters (who actually do help them, not just criticize like on other shows in the past) they tell them what needs to be improved and then help walk them though it of how to improve. So I hands down vote that you should continue this show, cause the group that comes out of this will be one to watch out for, with all the talent coming through. Also for the first watching one of these shows I've grown attached to so many trainees that I know they all won't debut which sucks, but I'm keeping them on my list to watch and see what the future holds for them cause i know with the skills they show on this show, they are bound to debut in the near future (cause they are to good to not debut).

2023-04-17 02:46:15 +0000 UTCI do think while it’s true that 4th gen unfortunately no longer prioritizes good vocals (though there are plenty of exceptions) I think for bp in particular mnet picked all of their songs for them and many men cannot sing in a higher register (why I hate the signal song) and I truly don’t understand why that’s a problem. In later episodes some of the contestants finally get to shine bc the songs are lower and they’re not having to sing like they have a voice of a woman.

Every-time I watch a survival show I always vow to not do it again bc I grow so attached to people I don’t, but then I do it again. And this season is no different. I know people don’t like the drama (which is valid) and pisses me off to my core how much mnet loves to rigg people out (through edits, votes, etc) but I’m just here for the talent yall. To many guys on this show have either been snubbed on other shows or just never given the platform to show what they can do but even if they don’t make it, this gives them so much exposure. I will say though if you ever see an audition you enjoy (or don’t lol), I would highly suggest watching the full version bc it’s always better there (mnet cuts always the worst or best parts out in order to make their pics stand out so..) but yeah these past 3 months have been entertaining to say the least and I’m sad it’s ending soon 🥲🫡

The show itself is quite entertaining but there’s a lot of flaws, a lot, as it’s mnet obviously. But it’s been nice getting to know the trainees and seeing their potential and talent grow along these weeks. They’re all very charming trainees and you’ll come to learn that if you continue! :)

2023-04-16 23:44:57 +0000 UTCthis was unexpected, had fun rewatching ep 1 with you! finale is actually this thursday! the editing can be a bit frustrating at times bc obvs they favor some trainees over others, but i'm bearing with it because i ended up getting really attached to one trainee and am voting everyday lol. and about the untalented ones, every season they choose some people who are clearly bad for entertainment + growth storylines. in almost every season so far at least one of these untalented trainees have debuted, mainly bc they were a visual or "charming"😭

Too long, too much extra bulllshit for nothing and no real good skills in sight except looks I guess ? Oh and obvious xenophobia, bad "devil" editing and rigged voting of course ! After all its just my personal taste but i can't enjoy those survival shows anymore..Peak Time was enjoyable tho and Sign Here and Good Girls are hands down my favorites that I could rewatch with no problem. But if you enjoy those kind of show then good for you haha

I don’t get the excitement of people when the members will be chosen exclusively by the public‘s votes including international ones, I just know that a handful of teenagers with questionable level of skill will be chosen because a bunch of 12 year olds who are obsessed with low 4th gen standards are voting for people because they’re sO hAndSOme aNd fUnNy.

I watched 2 or 3 episodes on my own and that was mostly just for my own amusement and not because I take these shows serious lol. I haven’t taken these audition survival shows serious for a few years now, probably because I don’t like this 4th gen and can’t take it serious in general. Although I’m still pretty young I feel like I’m too old for this nowadays💀 Programs like Peak Time where artists that I already know and that are experienced compete are much better! The funniest thing about BP is my best friend watches it because she’s bored and she keeps sending me social media posts of some of the Chinese trainees who are so happy to be finally free after getting eliminated😂 I‘m convinced there’s quite a few who are just there to fill in for other trainees who suddenly dropped out, especially since many contestants already competed on previous survival shows. We have people from Loud, Under 19, Extreme Debut: Wild Idol, World Klass, Road to Kingdom, Youth With You, YG Treasure Box and probably more. Although there are a few contestant who are genuinely good for whom I hope the best like Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Hui, Zhang Hao etc. Also you being shocked at already debuted idols joining makes me realize it seems that you’ve never watched a survival show like Produce 101? Because debuted idols have always appeared and some saved their careers by doing that, for example when Nu‘est joined Produce 101 season 2 and suddenly got crazy famous again (I mean Hwang Minhyun became a Wanna One member and is the host of this show now), Han Seungwoo from Victon joined Produce X 101 and got into X1 and is now a pretty big name, same with Cho Seungyoun aka WOODZ from Uniq and many more… I’ve been a Pentagon fan since Pentagon Maker so pre-debut and I really only wish the best for Hui, if getting into this group means the best for him then I’m rooting for him. Although these situations of once successful idols being reduced to trainees again is sad to see, Hui is a genius song writer, he went on the Produce shows multiple times as a producer already and made songs like Never that became a sensation, also Wanna One‘s official debut song Energetic, Nu‘est Hwang Minhyun was part of both songs and now he’s super successful and the host of the show while Hui is now here as a contestant so yeah I only hope that he will make it to the top again, preferably with Pentagon of course! (There are more debuted idols on this show besides Hui and Keita, they’re briefly mentioned in episode 2) I want to mention some things about the judges/coaches as well. Yes Lip J was on Street Woman Fighter as a part of Prowdmon, she has been a respected dancer for many years and won countless battles. You asked if a specific dance style was more of a niche thing but honestly it’s more that street dance in general is more of a niche thing. Why do you think Street Woman Fighter was so famous? It literally took over the whole country. Starting from then on dancers who were well known only in the dancing circle were suddenly known and loved by the general public as well and started becoming regular TV personalities. The other two dance teachers Back Kooyoung (aka Mihawk Back) and Choi Youngjun were both on Street Man Fighter as part of the 1Million crew, they have both been famous dancers for many years beforehand as well. I would say tho these two also were known outside of the dancing circle because they choreographed for idols, worked with artists, appeared on TV and 1Million was already popular before so there is a difference to dancers who are solely active in the dancing scene. I personally loved the reactions to some of the contestant‘s performances who were really good at dancing because it definitely felt like the energy and respect that is seen in dance battles! But also to add to what they said about most of them not being good at singing at all is bothering me too because that is a whole problem with this generation in general. Nevertheless I found myself in love with Bak Doha and Jung Mingyu (blue & red house)🤡 Like Lip J I also found them strangely charming lmao. I get all the updates about who is still in the show etc from my best friend since she’s still watching this for some reason.
