You see Joseph Gordan-Levitz taking that bullet like Superman, then punching a crater in the floor, followed by Jamie Fox saying "That's your power." It makes it seem that everyone has the ability to release a certain power within them, that will only be intensified by the pill taken. Kinda like a steroid to open themselves up to the full potential within them.
