I know y’all didn’t like Sansa proclaiming her love for Joffrey but it’s the smartest thing she could’ve done. She’s learned not to trust any Lannister and she doesn’t know Tyrion is being sincere. It’s better for her to proclaim her loyalty to the crown at every turn than to voice even the slightest hint of negative opinion about Joffrey. Also Sansa’s a hostage who’s brother rebelled against the crown no matter how good a reason he had for it and she has literally no one to protect her. All her servants are spies for Cersei and Tyrion can’t protect her when he has to protect himself.

Joffrey was sick on so many levels, but re-watching scenes like this one reminds me of how twisted in the head this little dude really was! At this point in the GoT series, I know Sansa has gotten smarter, but I still fault her for a lot that went down with her father. I wonder if as a character she has ever come to terms with her role in that, and if that will be acknowledged by the end of the series. Yet probably not, only 5 episodes left.
