The Pokémon GO Referral Giveaway!

It's been too long since our last giveaway. Let's fix that!

If you're like millions of other people around the planet, you've probably been enjoying the real-world monster-hunting experience of Pokémon GO in the past few days! (Or else you're patiently awaiting its arrival in a country where it hasn't gone live yet.) In honor of its massive, sudden, totally wild mainstream success, we're going to have ourselves a Pokémon GO-inspired referral giveaway!

You know all those new friends you've made hanging around PokéStops and Gyms these past few days? Get them to subscribe to NF Magazine! We know there are tons of Nintendo fans out there who still haven't heard that the legacy of Nintendo Power is living on, and right now those people are literally outside, in public, wandering around and available for conversation. So let 'em know about NF while you're also busy trying to take down their Raticates and Flareons!

Here's how it works:

1. You refer a new subscriber to NF Magazine. They come to Patreon.com/NintendoForce and click "Become a Patron" to jump on board.

2. Both you and the new subscriber send us a Patreon direct message to tell us that the referral has taken place. Say your name is Jeff. Your message would say "Hey, I referred Bob to subscribe." And Bob would send a message to say, "Hey, I was referred to subscribe by Jeff." So we know from both parties involved that the connection was made.

3. In that same message you send us, you declare your allegiance to one of the three Pokémon GO teams! You say, "I'm a member of . . ." and pick Team Instinct, Team Mystic or Team Valor. At the end of this month, we'll pick one winner from each team! Winners will get to choose to get the Pokémon GO Plus peripheral or a copy of Pokémon Sun or Moon, for free, from us!

4. Finally, and still in that same message you send us, both you and the new subscriber can let us know which back issue of NF Magazine you'd like to receive as a free bonus! This is going to be the new standard for referrals going forward – new subscribers can pick one back issue for free as a sign-up bonus for joining the Force, and you yourself can also pick one back issue to receive as a thank-you for doing the hard work of recruiting a new subscriber! 

If the new subscriber picks a Digital subscription, they'll get a digital issue. If they pick Print, they'll get a print issue. And Combo will get both! And same goes for you: You'll get the issue of your choice in the format that matches your current subscription tier. There are eight different back issues available, so refer to the attached image and pick one from that selection!

Sound good? The deadline is the end of July, so you've got about two and a half weeks to get your referrals in!

Oh, and if you refer more than one new subscriber, your name will go into the drawing multiple times! Get a whole bunch of people signed up and virtually guarantee yourself a victory! Good luck!
