Thanks for the detailed information! Persephone is definitely a perfect anti-hero, and the idea of her going head-to-head against a prominent, strong, positive hero and killing him is extremely exciting to me. For me, that would be the pinnacle of female dominance, reinforced by fatality!!

The Infernal Goddess of Death, (According to Homer's version) daughter of Demeter and Zeus, wife of Hades if I remember correctly, they both took her for half a year to Hades to the undead world to her husband, and half a year to Demeter. This was the mythology's way of explaining seasons. When she was in the Underworld it was winter, when she was with Demeter vegetation sprouted and it was summer... But my Persephone took Hades undead world as a true home and a favorite place to be... Therefore the eyes and generally evil appearance.
