Crisis Of Infinite Projects

Hello everyone!

I'm sure it was hard to miss that a new video didn't appear last week. Unfortunately, your humble narrator suffered a back injury last weekend. It's why I was barely present in Discord or anywhere else all last week. Walking was nearly impossible and sitting was almost as bad. So, I remained hopped up on a few legal drugs and lay in bed trying to heal. Right now I seem to be much, much better and able to get something out this week. Hooray!

While lying in bed (like, literally) I did a fair amount of reading, researching and writing. In that time, I created the script for this week (which I recorded this morning), wrote a few others and sketched out the details for a few more.

Next up will be a look at the abandoned Crisis On Infinite Earths sequel. In fact, I think I managed to locate some previously undiscovered information about it. To me, it's interesting to look back at projects that were about ten seconds away from being produced and then were suddenly thrown in the garbage. Maybe it's just me.

That made me start thinking about modern events and how they're crap. Well, specifically, I started writing about One World Under Doom and how it seemed rather pointless. It then morphed into an editorial about why the modern events don't work as intended. It's likely to make Marvel editorial displeased with me, but I don't think my arguments are wrong or misguided.

Anyway...

Also in the works is a complete, page one remake of a video about The Question. The original is okay, but it sure needs an upgrade in the writing, analysis and vocals. I think all are lacking. It's a character/topic I'm passionate about, so it's time to be far more thorough. It will be noticeably longer than the original, with far more information and detail about the late '80s series. It might not get too much into Rene Montoya, mainly because DC continuity after 52 becomes a rat's nest that tests my patience.

There has been a lot of Ditko lately, that's why a compilation video hasn't appeared. The extra bits have been written and just need to be recorded. It will probably show up in a few weeks a day or two before a new video. That's my plan, anyway.

Finally...I've just begun roughing out a look at Valeria Richards. Mainly because her origins are kind of convoluted. So, for my own education, I'm looking back to try and piece it altogether. Hopefully I can make sense of it and put it into a script.

Somewhat related is a retrospective of the Waid/Wieringo run on the Fantastic Four. It might be a good entry point for readers who want a more modern approach to the First Family? Maybe. That's the basic premise that I'm running with for now. It'll probably change once I finish off the run. So, yeah...I'm nowhere being done with the FF just yet.
