What's In The Works

Hello everyone!

This week's video should be The Reading List: My Personal Favourites. As that oblique title suggests, these would be the comics that I enjoy, have influenced my journey through the medium and are ones I've returned to time and again. It really should have been completed already, but I keep adding to it.

The script looking at the beginning of the Fantastic Four and the conflicting versions about it is basically done and ready to go. I think it's as edited and as tight as it's ever going to be.

Similar in theme is another script about why Steve Ditko left Spider-Man. This was something that was recently mentioned in Discord and involved the alleged disagreement Ditko had with Stan Lee over the Green Goblin's identity. So, I've spent numerous hours reading, researching and thoroughly discussing the topic in-depth. The script is written and being fine-tuned. I would not be shocked if it's ready next week.

All of this (and a Steve Gerber script) should keep me pretty darn busy over the next few weeks. Although, I'm sure I'll write and produce a few shorter videos between all these massive, overly detailed topics.

And, if my brain can handle it, I'd like to squeeze in another livestream. It's been too long since I talked live.

I know I'm late to this, but I really enjoy hearing your recommendations. I never was able to track down that 2001 Kirby omnibus, but I have read Through The Trees, two of the Jason volumes, and some others. My brother and I still trade comics so they get handed off to him --sometimes through the mail as he lives two hours from me. It's been a grand time and your suggestions have contributed immensely. So, "thank you" is all I have left to say!

Titular Heroine

I mentioned it in a YT comment, but how about a video about the "Fantastic Three" storyarc with Sue showing cleavage and Ben wearing the gimp mask in a last-ditch effort to ride the Image wave?

Kyle Grübbs

So a general overview of that part of his career? Sounds nice. Thanks for the answer!

Michael Rookard

Actually, it would be his entire career between 1980-1989.

Allan Hatt

Yay for more livestreams and Gerber! What Gerber series are you going to cover?

Michael Rookard

Ohhh livestreams are always fun (even if I can't join live) would be great if you could fit that in. Though to be fair there seems to be plenty in the pipe to keep us all entertained.
