Hello, everyone! I hope you all have had a fantastic holiday season! And, since this is likely my final post for 2024, I'd like to take this opportunity and say that I hope the New Year is even better for all of you.
Coming this week is a look at Carnival Of The Immortals (aka Gods In Chaos and The Immortal's Fete) and a brief look at the sequels, The Woman Trap and Equator Cold. All of which make up Enki Bilal's Nikopol Trilogy. Also briefly mentioned is Bilal's adaptation of the material in the 2004 movie, Immortal.
So, for those of you craving more European content, this will satisfy that need.
After that, I might do a re-evaluation of Doomsday Clock. Which is something I've been meaning to do once some time passed between now and my original review in 2020. Preliminary results? That 2020 review was pretty kind.
I've almost completed the script for the next era of Steve Gerber's career. The '80s. In fact, the Nightmare On Elm Street video was a bit of a preview, I suppose you could say. This one is a long one and might take some extra time to complete.
Finally, I will likely do another Reading List video or two either before that Gerber video or just after. One will be about Elseworlds books and the other will be my Top Ten (or 20) favourites of all time. Another one about Image titles is also in the works, but it's in the very, very early stages.
Even though none of these Reading List videos do very well, I think it's a good resource for anyone looking for further material in those specific categories. And, to me, they're my favourite type of video. Which is highlighting good material and saying, "I think this is pretty cool. You should try it out."
Okay, I think that catches you all up with what's going on behind the scenes. I will talk at you soon!
