This past week I've been suffering from an insufferable cold. Every piece of narration was interrupted with sniffling, coughing or my voice cutting out into a not sexy rasp. However, this morning, I think that has finally passed and I can finally get some usable vocals in the can.
During this time, I spent it writing a lot of scripts to get my usual pile back into shape. Many of which are completed and ready to go! This week I will likely do the first video in the Reading List series, focusing on independent work. This contains a number of quick reviews of series I would suggest for interested readers. Many of which are series I've intended to cover, but haven't gotten around to yet. The point of this series is to address the very common question: What do you suggest I read?
Another script about superhero stories is also complete. Ironically, it's one I had to completely rewrite because the video for it was the one I was nearly finished when my computer crashed. Naturally, I lost the script to it at the same time. Recreating it hasn't been a joy, but I think it's a necessary thing to do in order to mentally move past that terrible event.
There is also one about darker superhero stories and another dedicated to the unappreciated gems of Vertigo. Both of which are in the works and not yet complete. But I expect them to be polished up while I work on this week's video.
I do have a few other surprises in store, but it may be too soon to mention them. An examination of the notorious series, Faust, for example, is nearly scripted. For obvious reason, that's going to be a challenge to put into video form for YouTube. It's also not exactly favourable, either. I'm debating whether it's worth the effort to explore such a series and whether it's worth the effort to put out a video that's going to be so sanitized it will not accurately represent what's being discussed. Although, posting it here is an option.
Now you are officially in the loop and have a good idea of where SBP is headed for the next month or so.
I will talk at you sooner rather than later...
